Stage somewhere in Vale

"You nervous Jaune?" Gabriel asks. "Ya ," he answers, "Pyrrha is here and I want to impress her." "Hey," Mike says as he walks in back stage, "they're ready." Gabriel, Jaune, and Mike walk out to the stage. Mike goes to the drums, Jaune goes to his guitar, and Gabriel goes to his country guitar and the mic. "How ya'll doin' tonight. Well, it's our first show out here in your big city, Now ain't that right Jaune." Gabe says. Jaune walks up to his own mic. "Yep, that's right. Now hopefully ya'll heard of us right." He says. The crowd starts cheering like crazy. Team RWBY, Pyrrha, and Nora are surprised. Ren wasn't. "So Jauney boy here is love struck." Gabriel says. "So, he has a brand-new song he'd like to show us."

Jaune goes to the front of the stage. He starts to strum up his guitar. His voice is different. It has a slight southern upbeat accent to it. The crowd gets silent as he starts to sing.

There's a girl somewhere in Tupelo
Who's with a guy she barely knows
Who will probably sell his soul for a kiss
There's a girl somewhere in Arkansas
Who's talking with a southern drawl
And a guy who can't stop staring at her lips

Ain't it crazy how they make us all so crazy?

Why would we drive six hundred miles one way?
Blow through cash that we ain't made
Get tattoos
Wash our trucks
Push and press our luck

Why would we ask when we know we can't dance?
Show our hands
And change our plans
Lose our minds
Break our hearts
And learn to play guitar

Why does any man do anything in the whole damn world?
'Cause there's a girl
'Cause there's a girl

There's a girl somewhere with eyes so blue
You know a call just won't do
So here I am on highway forty-five

First girl to get me to ask myself how I'd be with anyone else
Any other minute of my life

Ain't it something how they get us doing something?

Why would we drive six hundred miles one way?
Blow through cash that we ain't made
Get tattoos
Wash our trucks
Push and press our luck

Why would we ask when we know we can't dance?
Show our hands
And change our plans
Lose our minds
Break our hearts
And learn to play guitar

Why does any man do anything in the whole damn world?
'Cause there's a girl
'Cause there's a girl

Ain't it crazy how they get us going crazy?

Why would we drive six hundred miles one way?
Blow through cash that we ain't made
Get tattoos
Wash our trucks
Push and press our luck

Why would we ask when we know we can't dance?
Show our hands
And change our plans
Lose our minds
Break our hearts
And learn to play guitar

Why does any man do anything in the whole damn world?
'Cause there's a girl
'Cause there's a girl

The crowd is wild. Everyone is cheering for Jaune. "Well, looks like I made a good impression." Juane says. "Your move Gabe." Gabe moves to the mic and starts to strum his guitar. The crowd, including teams RWBY and (J)NPR, know the song. With a deep southern accent and a medium beat, Gabe started.

Tearin' down a dirt road
Rebel flag flyin'
Coon dog in the back
Truck bed loaded down with beer
And a cold one in my lap
Earnhart sticker behind my head
And my woman by my side
Tail-pipe's poppin'
the radio's rockin' "Country Boy Can Survive"
If you got a problem with that, ha ha!
You can kiss my country ass

Well, I love Turkey calls, overalls, Wrangler jeans
Smoke nothin' but Marlboro reds
Tattoos up & down my arms,
And deer heads over my bed.
My Granddaddy fought in World War Two,
My Daddy went to Vietnam.
And I ain't scared to grab my gun,
And fight for my homeland.
If you don't love the American flag,
You can kiss my country ass.

If you're a down home, backwoods redneck,
Hey come on, stand up and raise your glass.
But if you ain't down with my outlaw crowd,
You can kiss my country ass. Aw yeah!
Aw yeah...
Well, there's a whole lotta high-class people out there
That's lookin' down on me
Cause the country club where I belong
Is the Honky Tonk till three in the mornin'
Don't wear no fancy clothes
No ties or three-piece suits.
You can find me in my camouflage cap
My t-shirt and cowboy boots
If that don't fit your social class
You can kiss my country ass

If you're a down home, backwoods redneck
Hey, come on, stand up and raise your glass
But if you ain't down with my outlaw crowd
You can kiss my country ass

Well I'm a front-porch sittin',
Guitar pickin', moonshine sippin',
Backer juice spittin' country boy from the woods
And I love fried chicken & blue gill fishin'
And outlaw women, an' I wouldn't change if I could. NO!
I ain't tryin' to start no fight, but I'll finish one every time
So you just mind your own damn business
Stay the hell outta mine.
If you got a problem with that
You can kiss my country ass

I said if you got a problem with any of that
You can kiss my natural born, Redneck to the bone
Ever-lovin' country ass.

His voice was deep, but with a heavy southern flare. "Alrighty. Mike, you wannna to make an impression, or have me and Jaune to take the show." Gabriel taunts. "Man, you know me, of all people, wants to make an impression." He answers. His voice was light and fast. he walks up to the mic. No guitar, just him and his dance skills.

Just a small town Cinderella
Daddy wants you back home by midnight
Every time we're together
Yeah, that's my dilemma
I need more time with ya
I wanna watch the sun rise through the pines with ya

Night like this, wouldn't wanna miss
Moonlight shining on a long slow kiss
You can be the one I can get lucky with
If the boot fits

Woah
Diamonds in the sky lighting up those eyes like
Whoa
You're the kind of fine that I can't deny
It gets me high, cross my heart hope to die
Pick a star make a wish
Yeah girl, you can be my all night
Dancing in the headlights
Fairy tale good as it gets
If the boot fits

Yeah baby we can run away
My carriage is a 4x4 400 horse Chevrolet
You're like a princess,
In a blue cotton dress
I can be your prince
If the boot fits

Woah
Diamonds in the sky lighting up those eyes like
Woah
You're the kind of fine that I can't deny
It gets me high, cross my heart, hope to die
Pick a star make a wish
Yeah girl, you can be my all night
Dancing in the headlights
Fairy tale good as it gets
If the boot fits

Woah
Let me show you how a country boy treats a lady
Woah
Go ahead kick 'em off 'cause the boot fits baby

Woah
Diamonds in the sky lighting up those eyes like
Woah
You're the kind of fine that I can't deny
It gets me high
Cross my heart, hope to die
Pick a star make a wish
Yeah girl, you can be my all night
Dancing in the headlights
Fairy tale good as it gets
If the boot fits

Whoa
Mmm if the boot fits
Whoa
Yeah if the boot fits

The concert was exciting. After it, fans lined up to ask questions to the boys. Questions like "What's your favorite color," or "What type of girl do you fall for." Team RWBY and NPR went to the front of the line to see them. "Hey guys," Gabriel said," did you enjoy the show?" "What!! You didn't tell us you guys were Destiny!!" Yang shouted. "Is there any other secrets you're not telling us." Ruby pouted. "Nope," Mike apologized, "We're sorry."

After the meet and greet with the fans, Mike and Ruby are chilling out by Beacon. Ruby starts to kiss Mike. "I love you Ruby Rose." He says. "Hay, watch this." Mike explains. Mike starts to move his hands in a wave motion, out comes a gem, a ruby to be exact. "For you, my precious gem." He hands it to Ruby. Ruby starts to tear up. "Oh thank you. You really are the best boyfriend ever." She pulls him into a passionate kiss. "Well, well, well. What do we have here?" A voice calls. It startles Mike and Ruby. "Gah! Weiss, why did you do that?" She screamed. "Because what would Yang say if she found out you had a boyfriend." Weiss teased. "She would kill you." Ruby stammered out. Mike stood his ground. "Nothing can stop me from seeing Ruby. Not Yang, not you, not no one." Weiss had a smirk on. "Well, Yang wouldn't find out if no one tell her." She added. "What are you proposing?" Mike questioned. "I'm saying that if Ruby does what I say, then no harm would come to you, or her." "We'll do it!" Ruby shouts. "Ruby wait," Mike reasons, "I don't think we should be making the deal this quickly. Let's think about it." "What's there to think about? We need this deal, I don't want you to get hurt." Ruby begs. "Fine. We'll do your deal. But so, help me, if something happens to my Ruby, you're in a world of hurt." Mike threatens. And with that, Weiss runs off with Ruby.
