Marlon and I were sitting in a café at the glas wall where you could look outside and see people walk around. I just finished telling him about my mom and my accident. I kept my focus on my hands which I put on the table. I was nervously playing with my thumbs. Marlon has been silent for the past 10 minutes now, taken aback by everything. I peaked at him sometimes very briefly, just to check if he was okay. Suddenly he sat up straight and I mimicked his movement. I looked at him scared but he didn't look at him.

"Can you drive me back to the hotel?" He said and slowly moved upwards with his eyes, looking at my eyes for just a second before looking away again. "You might as well pay for me," Marlon said and immediately got up, leaving the café without me. I called a waiter and payed as fast as I could before I ran after him. I never caught up with him but walked a few meters behind him. Just before Marlon arrived at the car I opened it so he wouldn't have to wait. Without even hesitating he got in the passengers seat and waited for me to get in. I got in and put my seatbelt on. I looked at him but Marlon was staring outside through his window. I didn't say anything; I just started the car and left.

"Does Lucas know?" Was the first thing he asked after the long silence. I was just about to enter the garage.

"I told him earlier." I gulped nervously and Marlon didn't say anything else. As soon as I parked he left the car. I turned off the engine and opened the door on my side, getting out as fast as I could.

"Marlon wait!" I shouted out and locked the car before running after him. "Marlon please." I said and grabbed his arm. He finally stopped walking and reached for the bell so that they open the door. Marlon didn't turn around.

"Please say something. You haven't said a word since at the cafe." I pleaded.

"Let go of me, Clary."

"No. Not before you say something." I said and he turned around, looking angry.

"That's because I have nothing to say to you, Clarissa." He replied and yanked my hand off before finally ringing the bell and leaving into the hotel. I held the door open so it wouldn't fall shut and just watched him disappear into the elevator. I sighed and held onto my forehead.

"What did I do?" I asked myself and finally walked inside. I waited on another elevator and got off on Lucas' floor. I stormed into his room and saw that he wasn't in bed anymore.

"He hates me. He HATES me! I shouldn't have told him anything." I said and put off my coat, throwing it on a chair. I threw my purse on his bed and hit with my hand on the table. "Fuck!" I shouted at the unexpected stinging pain in my palm. I heard him spit into the washbasin and stop the running water. He ran towards me worried and grabbed my hand checking on it.

"Hey, hey." He looked up and caressed my cheek.

"I hit the table and now my hand hurts." I said and he pulled out the chair.

"Here. Sit down first, baby." I did as he told me and Lucas kneeled in front of me. I wiped off the small tear that formed because of the pain in my hand. "Just calm down." He whispered and I shook my head.

"How? Marlon hates me, Lucas." My voice cracked in the middle of the sentence and Lucas looked at me with compassion, rubbing my upper arm.

"No he doesn't." Lucas whispered and I nodded.

"Yes he does. You didn't see how he looked at me." I said and Lucas hugged me.

"He's probably just shocked. He needs time." He said and I put my hands on his back. I buried half of my face in his shoulder and moved my hands up his back. My eyes closed and I sighed. Lucas softly rubbed my back at a slow pace.
