Chapter Five

 Chapter Five: 

The tour had been officially on the road for five months. Both bands were having a blast, minus Craig's attitude towards Faith. Craig had stopped bugging her as much after Max's threat. Of course, the siblings were now even closer than ever. Living the same dream together had that effect. The bands even did a brief Christmas present swap. Currently, the bands were in between venues. Max and Faith were in the A.D. bus watching every Batman movie ever created. Per Faith's request, since she was sober and everyone else wanted to party. Max decided anytime everyone wanted to party he and Faith would spend quality time together. Needless to say, Max hadn't gone out since the beginning of the tour. Faith kept telling him to go out with everyone but he still chose to stay with her.

Max shoved Faith off his lap to go make a sixth bag of popcorn. She fell to the floor with a groan. "Jerk!" She yelled running to the pause the movie when she heard a shatter from the kitchen.

"Max! Are you okay?" She asked practically sprinting to the kitchen.

"Yeah, I just dropped a glass." He said when she walked in to help.

"Thank god! I don't want to have to tell the guys you died because you couldn't make popcorn." She half-joked with a smile before kneeling down to pick up the glass.

"Oh whatever!" he said throwing popcorn at her.

Faith rolled her eyes as she threw the broken glass away. She nudged his shoulder as they sat back down. Which told him he needed to play the movie. He groaned but got up and pushed the button.

The next morning there was a ruckus at the scene on the couch. Max and Faith had fallen asleep together. Max for some reason had the empty popcorn bowl on his head and Faith's hair had random pieces of popcorn through it. Of course, Breanne took a picture for twitter. Then Nate fell off the chair making a loud bang. Max woke up with a start, knocking him and Faith off the couch. They both groaned and Max rolled off of Faith who he was squishing.
"Morning sleepy heads. While you were asleep we arrived at the next venue. We perform at six pm and ETF performs at five pm." She said pretending to be in charge before walking away laughing.

Faith groaned as she pulled popcorn from her hair. Max laughed and tried to help her. After several minutes they finally removed all the popcorn from her hair. Then they cleaned up their mess from the previous night. Max went back to his bus and Faith went to get ready. She was also changing her hair a bit. She carefully put the clippers to the side of her head and began to shave the left side. Once she was pleased with how it looked she cleaned up all the hair and hopped in the shower. She definitely didn't want to have hair all over while on stage. Gross. Once she was clean she got dressed in a ripped escape the fate muscle tee, a black pair of shorts and black combat boots. She dried and curled her hair making sure it looked as good as possible and left the bathroom. She threw her dirty laundry in the basket and walked to the living area. She casually sat down on the couch and went on her phone.
She had sat there a few moments and no one said a thing. She looked up and to her surprise everyone was speechless.
"What's up, you guys?" She asked as nothing had changed.
"You shaved your head!" Chris practically yelled.
"You look totally badass sexy!" Bre said with a smile.
"It's totally wicked!" Nate said giving Faith a fist bump.

"So you think it looks good? It kinda spur the moment." She said nervously.

"Its totally awesome" They all replied pulling her into a group hug.

Faith looked at her phone again after pulling away from the hug. "Shit Its five! We have to go ETF is playing!" she said running to the fridge to get a monster before running out the door, everyone else followed quickly after. They made it backstage just as they started playing. Faith tried to stay out of sight so she could show Max her hair after he finished playing. She had been on the tour for five months already and still was trying to process how this was her job. How she and Max were so good at performing? She wouldn't change it for the world though. She loved every second of it, she'd never give it up. She even got to speak with her mother the past few months. She kept in touch with her doctors and Mae through facetime and phone calls. Mae couldn't stop telling her how proud she was. She listened to the music when Craig said he wanted to make a public apology."So a few months ago this tour started and I was a total dickhead to this girl. I won't tell you a name but she's a close friend of the band. She is an absolute sweetheart and I wasn't very nice. I'm still not the nicest person to her, So I'd just like to say to her where ever she is that I am so incredibly sorry for all the shit I've said. I know I'm an asshole. Thanks!" They then continued their set. Most people might find it weird that each band has an hour to play and talk with the fans but its how ETF wanted it so A.D wouldn't complain, nor did they want to. Faith hadn't even realized that she had got lost in the music and was daydreaming. It took Nate frantically waving his hand in front of her face. Escape The Fate was playing their last song of the night. It happened to be Situations. Faith did find it odd that they still play those songs without Ronnie but didn't question them on it. She smiled at Nate when she took her a bass guitar and head mic from him. They were giving a private reveal of their single. Faith knew she was going to be moving around a lot hence the head mic. She made sure it was secure on her head and ran over to the huddle as ETF came off stage. They, of course, joined in on the huddle. A.D laughed and proceeded with the pre-concert chant. "Lady Tits, Singled shits, Hoodie fits, Bigger bits." They all chanted. Before turning to ETF who just now noticed Faith's hair.

"Nice hair choice Sis." Max said with a nod.

"It looks good on you. Swe..Faith." Craig said trying not to call her names.

"You're on in three." A crew member said before running off.

"Good luck," ETF said shoving her to the stage.

She grinned and said thank you before running out on stage with her band.

She did a little spin before yelling "What's up motherfuckers???" to the crowd.

The crowd screamed "Not much just me." It's part of their song Fixated.

"Alright, guys so we just recorded a new single before we left for tour. It doesn't come out for another month. But just for you guys, we are going to play it right now! Let's Go!"

She sang the song with so much emotion.

"That was Exastential, I really hope you liked it, It's about my addiction to drugs/alochol and how hard it is to come back from that. I won't blame it on anyone but myself. But I also wouldn't change it because I learned alot from it. If you relate to this song in any way please know that there is always a better option. We love you guys so much! This next ones for you.

They continued their set and at the very last song Faith went and sat down on the edge of the stage.She said she wanted to chat first.
"So earlier tonight you heard Escape The Fate. Let's give them a huge hand because they were freaking awesome!" She said causing everyone including her and the band to applaud.
"Then I'd like to say something, I've had an amazing time performing for you guys! You guys are incredible! This next song is our last song of the night. This is a slow one but a good one, here's our cover of The scientist by Coldplay." She said.

Faith grinned when the song finished and she said goodnight. She knew that was probably her best performance yet. She couldn't wait to top it. She waved and walked off stage.
