"Am I that easy to let go?"

2017

He was standing twenty feet away from The Valley house. He stared at the building as if he could see through it. It was not his first time here, he came every night. He would stand outside of the building for many hours every night and stare at the building doing calculations in his brain. He knew the west wing, the east wing, and the residence.

The lights from the building made The Valley House look like a fancy castle. Its five-story building was packed with security in and out. It'd been years since the awful incident that snatched half of his life, the incident that broke him and made him a killer. The person responsible was in the building right in front of him.

Standing there in the dark, different emotions ran through him but his anger was dominating his other emotions, slicing through his skin like knife on a cheese. He had to remind himself he didn't come for him.

He was only here for her, he was here to see her after so many years, he was here to know why she stopped writing to him. If he had the slightest opportunity, he wouldn't hesitate to kill the monster. If only the citizens knew the brute they call a president. That, however, was up to the Anti-sams.

He knew his way in already, he'd been mapping the area for months. Each day he came, he would stare at the building and draw patterns in his head on how to make a smooth entry and he luckily found a spot with no security. There were holes in their security rotations. He timed it correctly and had just enough time to get in.

He could see some of the guards upfront, he wondered if they knew an intruder was on the loose, did they even know about the spot he found? If they did it won't be left unguarded. He hoped they didn't have a clue, that they hadn't found the same exact mistake he had found.

He had two problems. First, the surveillance camera that rotated, taking footage of every open space. Second, he had no idea where his sunflower's room was located. He told himself he would worry about the latter after escaping the surveillance cameras. First, he needed to get inside.

He smirked in the dark and pulled the hood of his hoodie over his head to cover his face, he quietly and swiftly made his way to the hidden spot. He had decided to wear all black, that way no one would detect him easily.

He had practiced over the months, teaching himself methods to get over the large fence, he learned different tricks during the years and watched Tracers an obsessive amount of time. He could get himself into the building, of course he could.

He studied the cameras at his spot and waited for the camera to turn away for a few seconds. The moment the camera was facing away from him, he climbed the fence skillfully, grabbing onto the chains and pulling himself up. When he reached the top he jumped and landed softly on the deep green grass.

He pressed his body to the wall and listened for any sound. His friends had warned him about what he was getting himself into. He knew this was a suicide mission but he needed to see her, it'd been four years and she was like a ghost.

His calculations were working, numbers were his best friend, every move he made was premeditated. After looking around him to make sure the coast was clear, he ran to the building with steady steps and leaned on it.

He looked around again to check if anyone was coming; at this point, his chest was heavy with fear but he wasn't backing out. He looked up at the building then took a deep breath. He exhaled and started climbing the tall walls, he was grateful for the dim light at his newfound secret spot.

His grip on the rough surface was firm, he could feel the bruises on his palms and his old chucks wearing out from the pressure. He tried not to make a sound as he pushed himself up, he could feel the beads of sweat growing on his forehead and around his neck.
