Pulling my tight dress down, I cross my arms over my chest trying to contain what little body heat I had.
The cold in New York city had come sooner this year, and I could feel it all the way down to my aching high heel clad feet.
I hadn't meant to stay at Rosetta's house warming party that long. I had work in the morning. I was also regretting the couple shots of vodka I downed in the span of 2 hours; they made the walk home just that much more miserable.
"Fuckk..." my teeth chatter out as I sling my fallen purse back up onto my shoulder.
My wonky steps echoed throughout the dark alleyway.I was fully aware that walking home at night on the desolate streets of New York was not the brightest idea. But with every shot I took prior to this my confidence grew and I had assured Rosetta I would be 100% fine on my own; it was only a few blocks.
But oh boy, was I wrong.
