Pulling my tight dress down, I cross my arms over my chest trying to contain what little body heat I had.

The cold in New York city had come sooner this year, and I could feel it all the way down to my aching high heel clad feet.

I hadn't meant to stay at Rosetta's house warming party that long. I had work in the morning. I was also regretting the couple shots of vodka I downed in the span of 2 hours; they made the walk home just that much more miserable.

"Fuckk..." my teeth chatter out as I sling my fallen purse back up onto my shoulder.
My wonky steps echoed throughout the dark alleyway.

I was fully aware that walking home at night on the desolate streets of New York was not the brightest idea. But with every shot I took prior to this my confidence grew and I had assured Rosetta I would be 100% fine on my own; it was only a few blocks.

But oh boy, was I wrong.

Sorry the prologue was short but I can assure you that once we start rolling the other chapters I have in store will be 10x longer!
