Payback

           

After about 10 minutes we finally left the house. I drove us to school, as we were getting out of the car I saw josh.

          He was just staring. He kind of looked jealous, but at this point I didn't even care. When we walk in the school we got the weirdest looks ever.

          I make my way to first period and half way through the period one of my friends well... she was more of an acquaintance, but anyway she asked, "how was It?" I looked at her in the most confused way possible. I guess I had taken too long to reply because she then asked, "That Bad?"

          I still looked at her confused for a minute then I finally asked, "how was what?"

          She said, "You know, sleeping with Eric"

My jaw dropped so low, I was so speechless.

          "Penelope?"

I finally came back to reality and said, "I never slept with Eric, who told you that?"

          "Jennifer told the whole school this morning" she said.

I was so outraged I didn't know what to do. But then I remembered that Jennifer did live next to me and she has for the past 8 years so she probably saw me and Eric leave this morning.

          But honestly that still doesn't give her the right to go around and spread rumors about me and Eric.

          I'm furious I don't know what to do. 

I sat through the period being as mad as I could be.

          I couldn't wait for lunch so I could confront her.

I sat through every class, I was just so anxious. Lunch couldn't come fast enough.

          When the bell rang I raced out of the class to find Jennifer. On the way to find her I saw Eric. He tried talking to me.

          But it was like one of those movies when somebody gets bad news and all they see is the other persons mouth moving but, they hear nothing come out.

          When I saw Jennifer, my original plan was to talk to her but when we made eye contact it angered me and I charged her. I lost all control of my body and I slapped the spit out of her mouth. 

          Everybody looked at me like I was crazy, but I knew what she had done to me and this time around I was letting it slide.

          She jumped up after I slapped her and tried to slap me back. At this point I wasn't taking any shit from her anymore.

          "hit me and see what happens, you deserved that and you know you did. You disrespectful, incompetent, lousy, worthless   whore".

          "with everything you've done to me, I can't believe you didn't see this coming".

          She just looked at me while holding the side of her face, then looked at everyone that was watching, I could feel her embarrassment; but honestly, I didn't care. She walked past me and bumped my shoulder but that's all she had the guts to do.

          I turned around to walk away and there Eric was.

          He said "I'm guessing you've heard"

          I grinned, "well you guessed right".

"I honestly didn't think you would do anything about it" he said.
