"Rest in peace to our military chief Thomas DeMarco, who is survived by his son Thomas Eric DeMarco and his wife Victoria DeMarco".

I immediately felt bad after reading that.

I dropped everything and went to Eric's house.

When I got to his house I ran to the door and just as I was about to knock I stopped because I heard arguing. I backed away from the door and then out came Eric.

When he came out he was shouting "I don't care I'm done mom!"

Then he turned around and we made eye contact "penny". When he said that all the memories and all the times he made me smile and just made me feel warm inside, flashed before my eyes, tears dropped from my eyes and I just jumped into his arms.

"I'm so sorry Eric, I'm so sorry that I didn't believe you, that I didn't give you the chance to explain yourself, that I didn't hear your truth".

He didn't say anything he just held me tight.

"I'm so sorry about your dad too Eric"

He released me "why do you believe me now?"

          "Josh told me"

"how did josh tell you and he doesn't even know what happened?" he asked.

"well, you know the note that you received a couple days before the dance that was signed with a "J"?

"yes?"

"well it wasn't from Jennifer it was from josh"

He looked at me a little lost.

"he wanted to talk to you man to man because he wasn't happy that we were still together"

"okay if that's true why was Jennifer in the spot where me and josh were supposed to meet at the exact time?" he asked

I laughed "I guess she was following you that night and being her regular crazy, bitchy self"

          He smiled "I missed you"

I grinned "I missed you too, I'm really truly so sorry about everything"

          He kissed me.

"don't be sorry, just be here with me baby, let's go somewhere."

"where are we going to go?" I asked

          "somewhere special" he said.

We go in the car and he made me close my eyes and keep them close the whole ride"

When we arrived at this unknown place he let me uncover my eyes, we were at this old building.

          "where are we?" I asked

          "just follow me" he said

He led me to this ladder, we went up the ladder and then he made me cover my eyes again. We walked for a little while longer then he said "okay, uncover them"

I opened my eyes and I was speechless.

"what do you think of it?" he asked.

"it's beautiful" I murmured. It was an over view of the city; the sun was setting and the lights reflecting on the town and the sun set was just the most beautiful view.
