I sat near the edge of the cliff as the breeze drifted calmly threw my hair.
I stared up at the sunset as pastel colour changed from light pinks to purples and blues. The waves crashed calmly again the worn grey stone below. The sky was calm full of bright stars and the dull moon shaded by clouds. Seagull were non existe-

I heard the crunch of the pebbles from the beach to the side a tall broad figure was walking stiffly along the beach, eyes scanning her surroundings. Purple hair sat uniformly on her shoulder and her hood shaded her face. She looked tired and unhopeful as she lazily hovered her eyes over the pebbles. She had a long dreary looking trench coat in the shade slate and long, thick brown boots that looked worn and scuffed. Her nails were painted a dark colour of green and were long and pointy . Other than her purple hair and green nails it was almost as if she didn't exist at all. Apart from the crunch from the pebbles she seemed to disappear to not even be there from a quick glance. She took steps forward until she stopped reached down and picked up a rock pocketing it. Huh. What on Earth was she doing. I scooted back trying to stay low but a few shards of broken rock tittered on the edge and slipped. The clattering noise echoed threw the deserted beach. Her head snapped up and locked eyes with me. When she was  staring me her expression changed from blank to surprised. She had eyes that changed from purple to green in the different lights and a small nose with deep dimples on either side of her face when she smile at me, she beckoned over to me looking hopeful. I stood still unsure of what to do. My feet grew into the ground as I held her gaze. She frowned, creases in her forehead appeared and she let out a sigh. She pulled something out of her pocket, twisted it muttered something and then disappeared. I stumbled back as I scanned the beach herself. Gone. I turned around to search the cliff when she was there right in front of me I stumbled back and screamed as I lost my footing slipping down towards my watery death.
A hand gripped my arm tightly yanking me forward the other wrapped around my mouth closing of my deathly scream. I wriggled around in her arms
"Hey" she shouted,"stop wriggling your not a god damn worm" she said sternly
A tear rolled carelessly down my cheek as her nails dug into my flesh
"Oh tumble weeds" she muttered as she let go
I stumbled back the other way gripping my arm. I shot daggers into her as she inspected her chipped nail. I stared at her in shock as she payed no attention to me. I grabbed my prized bracelet that had slipped of my wrist from next to me and stomped of down the steep hill to the tree line. Unbelievable
"HEY" She shouted,"HEY YOU"
I broke into a sprint and charged threw the forest. I felt the blood slowly trickle down my arm and the fake nail protrude out. I bounded up the stairs two at a time flung the screen door open, jiggled the faulty door nob and slammed the door, shaking the flimsy walls of the old 1970s house. I felt around in the dark for the railing and tiptoed up the stairs. I ran to the window onlooking the front of the house and saw her dark figure run past. I slid down the  wall catching my breath. My trembling hand grabbed the cork and forcefully pulled down the blind. That was close. Then I reached down and tugged on the nail breaking the new made flesh wall making the blood trickle again. I don't know if I want to go outside ever again.
