Adventure Time: Finn x Awesome!Princess!Reader

"Uhhg..." You groaned boredly. Creating a small dragon made of (F/C) flames in your hand.

You, (Y/N), are the Princess of Magic. Able to do many types of spells and summon all types of cool creatures.

Your parents, the King and Queen of Magic, were beloved and kind and...

Extremely overprotective.

You had never seen the outside world a day in your life and it was really bumming you out. You wanted adventure and to meet someone around your age that you could hang out with.

Little did you know, you were about to get both.

Your parents were out on a business trip and they had left you in charge of the castle like usual. It was extremely boring.

As you were playing around, you heard the sound of voices and someone opening your castle door with ease.

"Wow Jake! I don't think we've ever been to this castle before", an unfamiliar voice said excitedly.

"Yeah I think you're right Finn", another voice agreed.

You emediantly went into attack mode and ran out of the throne room and the the front part of the castle.

Without thinking, you created some ice and blasted it at the intruders.

"What?! The Ice King is here?!" The first voice exclaimed.

You shivered a little at the mention of the name. You had heard about that guy before. He had been kidnapping all types of princesses and trying to force them to marry him. You were lucky enough to have avoided him for so long but it still disgusted you how some weirdo thought kidnapping girls was okay.

Your thoughts were cut off when someone swung a sword at you, barley grazing the side of your face before you dodged and threw a punch at the person.

"OOOF!" they exclaimed. The sound of a sword falling echoed on the floor.

Something orange/yellow wrapped around your body suddenly and you let out a growl.

"FINN I GOT.... Oh..."

Finn. That name sounded familiar now that you thought about it. You knew you had heard it from somewhere before, but you couldn't remember all the details.

"Yeah... I figured out it wasn't Ice King when she threw that punch. It was way harder than any of Ice King's punches", a male voice groaned out.

You finally got a good look at who had attacked you. Locking eyes with a boy who had crystal blue eyes and a white hat on his head.

Your face slowly started to heat up. He was very handsome...

"Woah..." He muttered in amazment. His cheeks also slightly red, "Are, are you a human too?"

"Human?" You questioned confused. Having only heard the word a few times or reading it in books, " No I'm a Witch. Princess of Witches actually.... Aren't all humans extinct or something?"

The boy looked sadden at your words as he looked you up and down. You felt sort of guilty for killing his spirit.

"Well no not completely. I'm a human! Finn the Human", the boy said with a lopsided grin.

"Oh!" You exclaimed, eyes sparkling in excitement, "I think I've heard of you!"

You had, in fact, heard about him before. Your parents would talk all the time in secret about a young hero that saved princesses and fought monsters. You would always evesdrop on these conversations and listen to the things they would have to say about him.

"Really? Do you visit the candy kingdom often?" Finn questioned as his companion, you assumed was his dog Jake, set you down.

"No... I've never been outside of this castle..." You muttered.

"What?!" Finn exclaimed, "Are you being held hostage?!"

"Well... Kinda..." You muttered before shaking your head, "My parents don't think it's safe".

"But your missing out on so much cool stuff!"

"Tell me about it. This castle has gotten so bland..." You grumbled.

"Where are your parents?" Finn questioned.

"On a buisness trip. They should be gone for a few more hours".

"Then come with me! We can have an adventure together!" Finn exclaimed. Happily offering his hand to you.

You smiled and took it without any hesitation. Jake made himself into a horse and you and Finn hopped on him.

"Oh! What's your name by the way Princes?" Finn questioned.

"(Y/N). Call me (Y/N)".

~Timeskip~

You and Finn spon got back to your castle at sunset. Laughing at all the stuff you had just did.

"Oh my Glob.... I can't believe you set that stuff on fire", Finn said with a chuckle, "It was awesome!"

"But you and your sword were even better", You said with a laugh.

Jake stretched you up to your balcony window and you hopped off of his back.

"Thanks for this Finn... I had fun", you said with a laugh.

"Me too", Finn said chuckling a little and wipping the tears from the corners of his eyes.

  "I hope you come back", you said with a smile.

  "I promise I will", Finn said with a grin.

You stared at each other for a little while. Your faces slowly starting to turn red as you leaned into each other.

  "(Y/N)! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!" The voice of you parents boomed. Your bedroom door flying open.

  You and Finn parted and you pushed him off the balcony before turning around to face your parents. They yelled at you for a while and banned you from leaving your room before storming out and locking the door.

  You let out a sigh, running your fingers through your hair.

  The sudden feeling of something soft touched your cheek and then vanished. Your face turned bright red when you realized Finn had kissed your cheek. You whipped around and he was gone...

  A small smile made it's way onto your face as you touched your cheek.

  "We should definitely go on another adventure sometime...."
