Last Chapter

"What is it Robin? You've been so nervous all day, what's wrong my love" Alice asked worried as she looked at her girlfriend searching for answers as to what was wrong with the archer.

Robin smiled, touched by her girlfriend's concern. Robin placed a hand on Alice's cheek.

"Nothing's wrong baby, it's just that I have a surprise for you, that's all" Alice sighed relieved at Robin's answer.

"Then you don't need to be nervous, love, I'm sure I'll love it" Alice smiled widely, making Robin falling even more in love with her.

"I hope so" Robin smiled getting lost in Alice's blue eyes.

"Well, what is it" Alice asked squeezing the brunette's hands. Robin reached out to stroke Alice's hair.

"First I need to say something" Robin said before giving Alice a quick kiss on the lips.

"Alice, when you and I met I pointed an arrow to your face and trapped you in a cage" Robin took a deep breath as she took the blonde's hands.

"Not your finest moment, my love" Alice joked, making Robin smirk.

"Well, it worked out in the end didn't it?" Alice laughed, but said nothing as the archer continued her speech.

"I was obsessed with following my father's legacy, I was blind, but you showed me how I could be like my father, the right way, and you showed me your curious way to see the world, and I want to thank you for all of that, and for loving me" Alice was about to say she didn't need to thank her, but the archer placed a finger over the blonde's lips.

"And when I finally confessed my feelings for you and you said you felt the same, I was the happiest person in all the realms, and right before the curse I realized I was ready to take the next step, and that's why I want to ask you" Robin let go of Alice's hands to get to her knee pulling out the box she showed her aunt the day before.

"Alice, my tower girl, will you marry me"

Alice had started crying before Robin got on her knee, and now she was staring at the archer with surprised look.

"Alice, love?" Robin was starting to get nervous as Alice didn't say anything. Alice smiled widely as she helped Robin up.

"Of course I will, my love!" Alice kissed Robin on the lips. Robin wrapped an arm around the smaller girl's waist as she kissed her back. When oxygen became an issue, the girls pulled away and Robin took the ring with one hand, and Alice's hand with the other.

"Can I?" Robin smiled at Alice, and the realm jumper nodded through tears of happiness. Robin slid the ring onto her finger before lifting her hand up and kissed it.

"How about a drink to celebrate? Robin wrapped her arms around Alice.

"Sure"
