James Realizes

James' PoV

Just as I reached the forest I once slept in, I heard screaming and banging from the camp that wasn't too far from here.I ran back looking for the only person I knew who wasn't experienced with fighting which is Thomas,but on my way back I came face to face with a man with a red coat who was riding a plain white horse.The only thing that stood out was his sword that had a big splatter of blood and like any reckless person,he attacked me but luckily he only made small cuts on my arm.

The pale man was determined to kill me even if he could only lay small cuts on me and he's probably trying to keep his distance because he has no clue if I can harm with a weapon which I don't have nor did I have any combat skills. Thanks to the man's determination, He manage to make a big bruise on me but, by this time they were retreating.He looked at me and motioned his horse to join the others on his team,but another surprise hit us,well mostly him,John shot the guys horse and a group of soldiers ran down to capture the guy,then came familiar face. "Thanks for distracting him,James"Yelled a small tired alexander,who was running towards me. "No problem,but you should be thanking him since he was distracting me."I responded receiving a laugh from Alex, "Oh by the way have you seen Thomas? I only ran back so that idiot can find a good hiding spot,quickly." "I believe I saw him followed Hercules to his tent,you should ask the soldiers for help if needed.I need to go and join George,sooner or later George is going to make me help him with questing that tall guy"Alex stated which I replied with "He actually is normal height Alexander,I think you forgot that you're a short person." "Just look for Thomas already!"He muttered loud enough for me to hear which made me grin.

After going our ways,I asked a couple of soldier where Hercules' tent is and turns out his tent is right besides Laurens' tent.Due to the tents of course not having a wooden door,I just walked and the hercules was stealing my title as Thomas' good friend but I wouldn't mind since I can just steal that guy's title of being Alexander's good friend since this Alex is actually sane,but I feel like thomas is gonna try to beat me to that...What am I thinking?!?! Thomas has never really beaten me in such things,I shouldn't be over thinking,Alex is just a friend right?I shouldn't get over protective Alex...Wait am I... "JAMES!"

I snapped out of my daze and noticed Thomas and Hercules were no longer hugging each other. "James,are you okay?Are you jealous I was hugging someone besides you?" Thomas teased "No,I'm not but I know alex is going to be my date to the ball" I sparked back.I noticed That hercules guy started to smile, "Did Alex get in a relationship?!?!??"Barged a drunk Laurens, "No,I'm not drunkie.James and I are just going to the winter ball together"Said a slightly drunk Alex,We all started to laugh well I stopped when I noticed someone was glaring at me.After I stated that Alex and I are attending the ball together thomas has been giving me a cold look,is he jea... "Hi lafayette~" Alexander said while hugging thomas. "Hercules, mon amei have you seen Mon petite lion...Oh my!Let go of him now!"Then came french man who pointed a sword at Thomas who had an alexander hanging onto him.

"So um,Thomas and Hercules why were you hugging?"I said to break the ice "well we were just bonding and it was just a thank you from thomas."Thanks to my attempt at breaking the ice,everyone was looking at Hercules  even the two drunk boys. "What are men doing?"George said walking in which made hercules ask "Why is everyone coming in my tent?Who's next,Aaron?"Then the unexpected came in " George are you ready for the meeting?"Asked Charles Lee. "Hey charles have you seen Madison and Jefferson?"Asked Aaron burr who was following Charles, "I was close,but hey at least I can practice not getting sick when being in tight spaces"Hercules said right after Aaron asked charles for Thomas and I.

"Can you guys get out?" Hercules suggested who recieved a nod from everyone else.I have to say,thomas looks happy in Alex's arms but Lafayette looks so angry,it reminds me of thomas and I when I talked about the ball.I having feeling that idiot is probably ignoring his feelings,if only he noticed but like always.I beat him at these subjects all the time so it's not surprising,I'm just surprise my rival is actually my good friend.
