Lightning didn't quite understand the situation she was caught up in. Artemis and Aphrodite were arguing about who had the best set of powers. Somehow, they wanted her to tell them who was the best. She thought that all this was unnecessary rubbish, but she didn't dare voice her thoughts. Those goddesses could be scary when they wanted too.

"I think you both have marvelous powers. Artemis, your powers help you out in the wild and hunting, which is an activity you enjoy. Aphrodite, your powers help you spread love and see couples be happy together, which is a thing you enjoy. I don't want to choose between you and suffer the wrath of the other." When she finished her statement, she turned her back on the stunned goddesses and left the gigantic room to get some air.

The moment she left, a dark blonde man appeared at her side, holding a pink camellia out to her. She gave him a side glance, before slowly taking the flower and smiled at him. He didn't have to say anything as she clearly understood his message through the flower. Pink camellias signalized a longing towards another.

"It is incredibly sweet of you to give me this flower, Apollo. However, we both know it could never be us two as we are half-siblings and our father is also an obstacle in the road." Lightning tried to be as kind as she could be with him. She knew how Eros arrow accidentally hit him and then he saw her. She tried to bring it up to Aphrodite, but she was always cut off.

"I don't care, Lightning! I love you with all my heart and I will always do. You might think it is just because of Eros, but there you're wrong. Just because you read minds, doesn't mean we can't hide information from you." Apollo took hold of her hand and pulled her towards him. Lightning crashed into his hard chest and glanced up at him. She didn't get the chance to utter a word before lips pressed onto hers. She stood frozen in shock.

Never before had the god of music tried such an act. He had tried to court her many times without success, but he had never tried such a bold act. It was absurd. Unheard of. Even if a thousand years had passed, no such action should be taken light hearted.

Lightning was captured within his arms and with his lips, unable to move away. Her powers made a decision before her mind, and sent out a lightning so powerful it threw the god of music to the other side of the garden. Moments later, before Apollo got up on his feet to apologize, the goddess ran off desperate to get away.

She couldn't breathe. Her lungs neglected the air they were served and it went to waste. Her mind was going haywire, not able to pluck what had just happened apart and decipher it. Her feet controlled her, leading her away from the magnificent palace and into the dark forest nearby. Not caring if she scraped her feet or got stung by nettles, she didn't stop. Not until she reached the end.

The end of the forest. The end of Olympus. The end of the heaven like place she called home. Then she jumped.

A blonde man was sitting in his office with a grave mask covering his face. His briefcase thrown to the side and his coat lying forgotten on the hard floor. Carlisle Cullen felt  absolutely defeated and crushed. It was as if someone had gotten a hammer and smashed away at his cold, dead heart.

After the discussion he just had with his children and the three members of the wolf pack that happened to be here, he decided to retreat into his office to think. His first turned, Edward, had already brought his mate home and decided to stay the night with her, being a relief so he could think without being scared someone would listen in.

It was hopeless. The entire situation was hopeless. All his lifetime as a cold, unchanging beast, he tried to stay clear off this  kind of situation. A situation known to destroy covens and getting many killed. He couldn't afford for that to happen to his family, not when they were finally at peace with their lives.

Carlisle let out a sigh, running his hands through his hair and standing up to leave the house. He informed his wife, Esme, of his intentions of hunting before the day tomorrow to get a boost in strength, which she agreed to. Without another word shared with any other resident of the house, the doctorquickly left his home and took off towards the mountains up north.

When he finally stopped, he immediately felt much better.  A bit of fresh air always  helped clearing his mind in troubling times. Carlisle closed his eyes to focus on the scents around him, however, that peace ended  almost instant as a loud whistling like noise made itself present. It came from above. The vampire gazed up, only to widen his eyes in shock at the sight.

A bright light came plummeting towards the ground at a dangerous speed. It was like a star but even brighter. The light hit the ground a tad further north than where he was standing and disappeared. What on earth could that be.

Carlisle took it upon himself to go find out, and he did. Reaching the crash site, the  most noticeable thing was the massive crater formed in the mountain. Any animals or trees at the site was immediately obliterated without any kind of warning. As he stepped closer the cause of this major crash became apparent to him. At the bottom of the crater laid a body. A body surrounded by a non-humane glow of gold and with hair as shining as the described material.

He was in shock. Not only that such a small creature created such a humongous mess, but at the fact that he recognized that glow. It was the same glow that had haunted him for over a century before he met his mate. It was the glow of his ex-lover who happened to be a goddess.
