Airis sat at the dinner table with a hidden disappointment in her electric blue eyes as she smiled at all of her nineteen sons. She loved all of them dearly, but they could be a handful at times. Eladimeir her first-born was already eighteen with his handsome black diamond colored eyes and glossy black hair. He was the mature one or as his brothers called him, Captain no fun.
Even Airis agreed that her eldest son needed to loosen up. She shook her head slightly as Eladimeir was busy scolding Garfield the second eldest son who was always covered in dust from working in the Garnet mines with the dwarves.
"Garfield, seriously go take a shower! Come on man you're getting dust everywhere!"
"Sorry to burst yer bubble Captain no Fun, but yer not mom."
"Stop calling me Captain No Fun!"
"Sorry wot was that I can't hear ya?"
They continued their squabbling while sixteen-year-old Emmet was sitting across from Garfield his purple eyes eagerly examining yet another Amethyst; he was totally oblivious to the world around him.Fifteen-year-old Fafnir was sitting beside Emmet with his feet up on the table. He rolled his eyes as he watched Eladimeir squabble with Garfield. Airis sighed she had a strict rule about feet on the dinner table.
"Fafnir dear, feet off the table, we're not heathens..."
He rolled his eyes again and said in the sarcastic teenage voice as he sighed, "Huh...Whatever mom, this is boring anyway..."
Airis sighed in annoyance when he removed his feet from the table. Fafnir was a classic teenager bored out of mind as he was throwing a small Peridot gemstone into the air before catching it in his hands.
Fourteen-year-old Oberon was across from Fafnir and was busy eating oysters and collecting the pearls. "Hey mom, look at this pearl!"
He stood up and walked over to where his mother sat. Grinning he gave her a giant pink pearl. Airis smiled at her son, he wasn't much of a talker but it was clear he wanted her to keep it.
"Thank you Oberon it's lovely..."
Oberon smiled and went back to eating his oysters and collecting the pearls while the thirteen-year-old fraternal twins Topaz and Simon-Citrine were filling their plates with lamb chops. While the other set of fraternal twins, twelve year olds Zircon and Tanzan were chowing down on fish.
"Boys you'll get a dreaded cobbywabbles with how fast your both eating." Airis laughed slightly to herself as eleven year old Turk with his turquoise shirt and ten year old Marth with his aquamarine colored shirt were sitting across from Zicron and Tanzan and were busy trying not to vomit as they watched their two older brothers scarf down the fish as if they were starved Grizzly Bears.
Nine-year-old Gregory with his ruby red eyes and eight-year-old Lenox with his sapphire eyes were arguing again from opposite sides of the table. No doubt about something pointless as they usually were only to make up and be the best of friends later in the evening.
Airis laughed slightly again and shook her head as seven year old Alexander was playing with his food and eating it while making a mashed potato and broccoli battlefield as he pretended to be a monster that devoured the broccoli forest and ate up the mash potato mountains were rebel peas were hiding as his eyes changed from a deep purple to greenish blue.
Then there were terrible twosome, identical, twins. The six year olds Tourmaline and Opalo were sitting across from Alexander. They were snickering about something; no doubt, they were scheming about another prank, as five-year-old Amos was sitting beside the twins.
