Chapter 14

Chapter 14 "graduation"

"DANIELLE!!! GET UP ITS GRADUATION!!! YOU NEED TO GET READY!!" My mom shouted from downstairs. What my mom didn't know was that I was already up and getting ready.

'Today's the day I begin my life' I say to myself, considering the fact that today's the day I also get to finally leave with Ms. Blue.

I slid on my hot pink dress that I got from Windsor. It was long in the back and short in the front. It also had diamond studs and was tight toward the top, for the first time I actually was excited to wear a dress and high heels. I walk downstairs as I see my parents stop their whole conversation just to look at me.

"What?" I ask in confusion.

My mom gets all teary eyed and says "you look beautiful" as she gets up to hug me. "We're so proud of you!"

"Love you too mom but I really have to get going. I'll see you at the ceremony," I tell her as I head out to my car.

"Elizabeth Micks," Ms. Blue calls. Elizabeth walks across the stage to receive her diploma.

'OMG I'm next,' I thought to myself.

"Danielle Middleton," she calls. As I walk the stage I notice she's giving me "the look" and smiling extra wide. The beautiful moment was then ruined by the sound of gunfire and screams.

Everything turned to a blur; people running and screaming about. A hand around my wrist brought me out of my blur. It was Ms. Blue. Ms.Blue and I ran to her room to grab her car keys then we snuck out of the school and to her car and drove off.

The initial shock of it all was too much, neither one of us said anything until her car broke down 10 miles into the middle of nowhere.

"Ms. Blu-" she cuts me off before I can say any more.

"I'm so sorry Danielle! I knew I should have left that day they came to my house! I'm an idiot for bringing you along and putting your life in dang-" now it's my turn to cut her off...kissing someone can definitely shut them up.

The trance of the passionate kiss made us blind to our surroundings. Knocking on the windows brought us back and we see these big, muscular guys pointing their guns at us.

We slowly get out of the car and put our hands up. I hear a hard whack and turn around to see Ms. Blue falling to the ground. Before I could yell her name I feel a sharp pain on my head and I too am knocked out.
