Chapter 7

Chapter 7 "The accident"

"Oh god! I hope she wakes up!" ,

I heard a soothing voice say across the room. I couldn't help but think that it was one of my friends, maybe Kayla? It didn't sound like her. I slowly opened my eyes trying to ignore the horrid pain I was in. I seen a tall blurry figure with brown hair, that's all I could tell because my eyes were blurry.

"Oh my god, she's waking up!"

I heard the same voice, I couldn't believe who it was. There before me, she sat. Her eyes wide and body blank. The only part of her body I could actually see was her eyes. She stood up and walked over to my hospital bed, taking my hand in her own.

"Danielle!? thank heavens you're okay. I don't know how I'd live my life if you died,"she said worriedly.

My heart skipped a beat at her words, they continued repeating over and over in my head. I lifted myself from the bed using my elbows, I was weak, yes, but strong enough to manage rolling a few words from my mouth. "M-Ms.Blue? H-How...W-What..." I had so many questions to ask 'what was I doing here, what was Ms.Blue doing here? where was I?' all these thoughts grew silent as I felt Ms.Blue squeeze my hand.

"It's all okay," she smiled, bringing her hand up to stroke the top of my hair. She fiddled with it for a few seconds before kneeling down, moving her body closer to mine. "You got into a car crash, I brought you to the hospital. The doctors said you'll be fine, just a couple bruises and scratches. You can leave as soo-"

Ms.Blue cut off her sentence, turning away from me and to the door. My heart beat slowed as Ms.Blue stepped away from me, but the beating rose back to my chest as soon as she walked back. "Open up, med time." I did as I was told, opening my mouth, I swallowed the pill. As I was about to thank her I heard her sigh beneath her breath.

"When I was your age, my best friend died in a car accident. I promised myself to never let a loved one die that way again. I like you, you know. You remind me of my friend, you both have the same moxy, bright, young individuals eager to learn. Promise me something, yeah? Promise me that you won't die even if you're shot, lying on the desert ground, bleeding senselessly , you won't die."

Ms.Blue cracked a smile, cupping my cheek in her hand. More than anything, I wanted to kiss her . "I promise." I swallowed, nodding slowly. Her thumb moved down to my bottom lip and she was stroking it slightly.

"Good"

With that, she pressed her lips on mine. My hands moved to wrap around her neck, kissing her back passionately. Feeling her deepen the kiss, I couldn't resist smiling. As my lips moved in the rhythm with hers, I felt her hand move to touch my waist. Oh, how I wanted more. I felt the tip of her tongue enter the tip of my mouth. I blushed rather uncontrollably.

Just as my hands moved down her sides, I heard the door slam open. Immediately, I broke the kiss, a stunned expression on my face. Standing there before me, face redder than a firetruck, stood my mom!
