Chapter 4- Suspension

Rantaro's POV

I was sitting in class, staring out the window when the intercom turned on.

"Rantaro Amami and Shuichi Saihara, please come to the principal's office." The woman on the intercom announced.

I sighed and stood from my seat. I felt everybody eyes on me as I walked to the door, opening it. I walked out of the classroom and was met with a pair of golden eyes.

"Hey Amami~Kun! Looks like we both were called in the principal's office. Wanna walk together?" Shuichi asked, smiling.

"Sure, let's go." I said as we began walking to the office. "Hey, did you tell anyone about us, you know, skipping yesterday?" I said in a whispery, low voice so nobody around could hear.

"Hm? No, why?" Shuichi replied, stopping in front of the office.

I stood next to him and leaned down to his height. "Well, isn't it kind of werid that we both got called to the office at the same time?" I asked, whispering.

Shuichi shrugged his shoulders. "Maybe it was a coincidence." Shuichi said, opening the front doors to the office.

I took a deep breath and followed behind Shuichi, into the office.

The principal was sitting at his desk, he was doing so much paperwork, I don't think he even noticed we walked in.

"Mr.Izuru?" Saihara said nervosusly, trying to get his attention.

Mr.Izuru looked up from his papers and sighed.

"My apologies, I didn't even notice the two of you walk in. I was filling out both of your disciplinary forms for skipping school yesterday." Mr.Izuru said, glaring at us. "Take a seat, we need to discuss your punishments." Mr.Izuru gestured to the seats in front of his desk.

I sighed and sat down in a chair, I shifted uncomfortably. I don't know about Shuichi but this was my 10th time I skipped school.

"Let's start with you first, Mr.Saihara." Mr.Izuru said, as Shuichi sat in the seat next me.

"Mr.Saihara, this is the 1st time you skipped school so I will let you off with a warning, but you will have after school detention for 3 days." Mr.Izuru said sternly.

Shuichi only responded with a nod.

"As for you, Mr.Amami. This has been the 10th time you have skipped school, so you will be suspended for a whole week." Mr.Izuru said, as he signed our disciplinary forms.

I sighed and nodded. "I understand."

-Time skip to afterschool-

I walked with Korekiyo to my dorm, listening to him give me a lecture about how he knew that I was going to skip again.

"I knew you were going to skip again, you always did. I just can't believe you skipped with that freak--"

"Quit calling him that, geez. Saihara is actually not a bad person once you get to know him, Kiyo." I interrupted and stopped walking as we got to my dorm.

"You've been acting strange lately ever since you started hanging out with him.. Oh no.. Don't tell me.." Korekiyo backed away from me, and I tilted my head.

"What?" I asked, confused.

"Don't tell me you like Saihara!" Korekiyo shouted, I covered his mouth, even though it was already covered by his mask.

"Shh!! Be quiet!!" I said in a low whispery tone.

"So you do!" Korekiyo whispered back.

I rolled my eyes in response.

"I didn't say that! I just don't want people knowing I'm gay.." I said, scratching the back of my head.

I was very insecure about my sexuality. I didn't want anybody to know about it.

"Rantaro... Who cares what other people think? You're you, and you are amazing. If someone hates you for that then they don't deserve you. I think you should be proud of you are, I am proud of you. Don't bring yourself down, you do you." Korekiyo said, placing an arm my shoulder.

I smiled warmly and hugged him tightly.

"Thanks Kiyo.." I said, slowly pulling away from the hug.

Korekiyo chuckled and nodded.

"So, I guess I'll have to sit with Gonta for next couple days while you're suspended." Korekiyo said, placing his hand on his hip.

"Looks like it. I'm just gonna chill in my dorm for a whole week, bored out of my mind." I sighed, regretting skipping school.

I will admit though, it was fun hanging with Shuichi...

"Well, I guess I should head in the dorm. Talk to you later Kiyo." I said, waving to him.

Korekiyo waved back and I shut my dorm door. I walked over to my bed and slumped down on it, exhausted.

"Buzz"

I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I pulled it out and saw it was text from someone with the username, 'FanboyDetective'.

Shuichi.

The text read,

[FanboyDetective: Hey Amami~Kun, it's Shuichi, how's being suspended? I am in detention😭]

AvacadoBoi is typing...

[AvacadoBoi: It's boring af. How r u able 2 get on ur phone? Didn't they take it?]

FanboyDetective is typing...

[FanboyDetective: Snuck a 2nd one😜 I miss u!]

AvacadoBoi is typing...

[AvacadoBoi: Miss me? lol what do u mean?]

FanboyDetective is typing...

[FanboyDetective: I luv hanging out with u, it's the most fun i have ever had in my whole life tbh. Don't you miss me??😖]

AvacadoBoi is typing...

[AvocadoBoi: Yea, of course i do. I'm glad i can be somewhat of entertainment lmao. Can i ask a favor of u Saihara?]

FanboyDetective is typing...

[FanboyDectective: Sure, only if u promise 2 call me Shuichi instead of Saihara😛]

AvacadoBoi is typing...

[AvocadoBoi: ok, Shuichi. Now that u know i was part of a killing game, can u keep it a secret pls? Nobody knows except u, not even Kiyo knows. I don't want ppl knowing, they might think bad of me.]

FanboyDetective is typing...

[FanboyDetective: Ur secret is safe with me! Don't worry👌]

AvacadoBoi is typing...

[AvacadoBoi: Thx Shuichi.]

FanboyDetective is typing...

[FanboyDetective: Np. I gtg b4 I get caught, ttyl Amami~Kun✌]

Avocado boi is typing...

[AvacadoBoi: See ya.]

I laid my phone next to me and smiled. Maybe Korekiyo is right, I think I might be in love with Shuichi...

(It's been awhile since I updated this, I promise I'm not dead lol. I have been quite busy lately but now that my finals are over and I'm on Christmas break, I can update again! Yay! I hope you like this chapter, I wanted to try something different with the texting, sorry if it was bad. Stay tuned for Chapter 5 😄!)
