Later that night Woosung was sat on the edge of his bead next to his packed bag, eagerly awaiting Jae's arrival. Feeling scared and anxious, his leg bounced up and down in anticipation, making a light tapping sound. After about thirty minutes Woosung heard knocking on the door, it sounded like a pattern so he knew it was Jae. Rushing to the door, Woosung almost tripped over the wool rug in the middle of the room. He pulled on the door handle and it opened with a creak, there stood Jae holding a regular sized backpack, he dropped the bag as Woosung Jumped into his arms and hugged him like if he let go he would loose him. ''I missed you.'' He said. ''Me too'' Jae mumbled while resting his head on Woosung's shoulder, after a few seconds they released each other and Jae gripped Woosung's hand tightly. ''Shall we get going'' Woosung just nodded.
They made their way down the stairs, when they reached the old door at the bottom Jae turned to Woosung and put his finger up to his own lips, signalling him to stay quiet. Jae peeked his head out of the door and saw that the hallway was empty, he pulled the other boy by the hand and led him out into the castle and to the exit. W hen walking around a corner Woosung was suddenly pulled back by Jae, he gasped but Jae covered his mouth with his hand and shushed him, he was pointing at something so Woosung turned to look and saw a guard stood against the wall looking like he was about to drop off to sleep.
Jae looked around, he saw Woosung was wearing a ring. ''Is this ring precious to you?'' He asked. ''No, why'' ''Good'' With no explanation, he grabbed the ring and threw it to the other side of the room, it was dark in the castle except for a few candles so you couldn't see it flying through the air but you could hear it land across the room. The guard, now fully awake, stood up and ran after the sound, while he was distracted Jae sprinted pulling Woosung with him, he reached the door that lead to the maids quarters and rushed inside, they both stopped for a second to catch their breath before heading for the back door out of the castle.
When they got outside there was a horse tied to the fence waiting for them. ''Woosung meet Billie, my best friend.'' The horse slowly approached Woosung as he held out his hand to gently stroke Billie. ''We don't have much time, we must leave'' Jae stated before hooking his foot into the stirrup and lifting his leg over Billie to sit on the saddle, he held his hand out and Woosung gladly accepted the offer, Jae pulled him onto the back of the horse he wrapped Woosung's hand around his torso so he was steady, he then grabbed a hold of the reins and delicately nudged Billie with his foot and he started to trot down the road.
After a few hours they were out of the village of Rosalynn and where heading to who knows where, they were just glad to get out of there, they know that all the suffering is not over yet but for now, its just peaceful with only the two of them. While travelling Jae spots an abandoned house and decides to get some sleep so they have enough energy for the morning. They enter the house, including Billie because they didn't want to leave him outside. Inside it looks fairly old but not like it would fall apart that second, it was nice for just one night. They set up camp in the living room of the house. Billie had already fallen asleep but Jae and Woosung sat together and talked for a while.
Jae was rambling on about random stuff, Woosung was slowly drifting off trying to listen but he just couldn't, eventually Jae felt Woosung's head land on his shoulder, he smiled slightly and slowly laid Woosung down and kissed his forehead. ''Goodnight my prince.'' He whispered before falling into a peaceful slumber next to Woosung, he was clinging onto his hand throughout the whole night, that was the first night after his mom died that Woosung felt loved, he never wanted that feeling to go away.
