Settle Me In

Lucy's POV

When the door was shut closed I walked to my bags and started to unpack my things putting them in drawers or in the bathroom. After about 30 or so minutes I saved Natsu's number in my phone and layed down on my bed. I turned to look at the time and saw that it was 12:00 pm. Sigh. I wonder if I'll get along with anyone. I'm actually scared since I would usually get picked on for always habging out with the "hot" guys at school and being friends with the "cool" girls. But that stuff doesn't really matter to me, as long as they don't hurt me and we get along then they can be my friend if they want.

I decided to go around the school and look for a quiet place to sit. So I got out of my room and walked throught campus until I found a tree that had pink flowers and it was in the middle of the park with no other trees. It might be lonely for it to be all alone there. I went over and sat down when I suddenly felt my phone vibrate.

I could feel myself starting to tear up about not being able to be with my friends anymore. I stopped trying to hold back my tears and cried silently into my arms with my eyes closed. I could feel the warm breeze flowing at my face with gentleness that started to calm me down. Then I heard a voice that sounded way too close to me for my liking.

"Why are you crying?" said the mystery person. I looked up and saw that it was a girl with short white hair. I shook my head and looked away. Then I felt a pair of arms around me. I started to get angry that this girl was hugging me even though I sent out an obvious sign that I didn't want her near me right now. So I stood up and pushed away from me.

"I DON'T NEED YOUR COMFORT!" I yelled at her. She stared at me wide eyed as I saw a boy with pink hair running over to us. I turned around and ran away as fast as I could and found myself in town. Where am I? Suddenly I felt someone bump against me causing me to fall on my butt. It was a blonde haired boy.

"Watch it!" I acclaimed.

The boy chuckled and said to me, "So you're a feisty one aren't you blondie?" I stood up and raised my hand about to slap him but he caught my arm. Then I just burst into tears and just stood there. The boy looked shocked.

"Are you okay blondie?" he asked. I shook my head and then he pulled me into a hug. We stood there for who knows how long until I heard the pink haired idiot calling out my name.

"Lucccyyy!!!" Natsu said. I pulled away from the guy a little to see Natsu running towards us with anger and worry written all over his face. He stopped and glared at me... no, he was glaring at the blonde haired boy.

"What are you doing with Luce?" Natsu asked.

"Is she your girlfriend or something cause if she is then you are doing a horrible job," the blonde said. I just started to laugh at what the boy had said. They both looked at me bewildered.

"What's so funny blondie?" the boy asked.

"It's just that you thought that I was fating him when I can't even make a friend..." I said the last part in a whisper. I looked away from them embarrassed at what I just said. They arms around me tightened a bit and I felt a head on top of mine which was snuggled into the boy's shirt.

"I'll be your friend. My name's Sting," he said as he pulled away from the hug, "lemme see your phone for a sec."

"What for?" I asked.

"To give you my number of course," he said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. I took out my phone and gave to him. He gave it back to me said he had to go. I was left there standing alone with Natsu staring at me with sadness. I tried to ignore him and started to walk back to the school when suddenly I felt him hug me from behind.
