Sigh.. He was so serious about being king and got up early.. He did everything without complaints but now...

"Mattie! Can I have more food?" Alfred whined out, slouching a bit as he sat on the throne.

"You had already ate too much and wasted time. You have to prepare for the annual festival that's in TEN DAYS ALFRED" Matthew raised his voice. He cleared his throat before speaking again. "Every royal will be coming and so will some commoners from other kingdoms"

"At least that's all you have to worry about for now your majesty." Toris says in a calm manner as he enters the room. "We just need you approval for some stands that people would like to have or sell during the festival." He explained, setting down the big stack of papers on the table near Alfred.

"You're lucky. There's not so much requests this year, get it over with and you can have lunch a lot faster." Matthew said, knowing that's the only way to encourage the King.

"Ughhhh Fine! I do want there to be lots of food though! And games! Oh! Maybe we can-"

"How about you finish the paperwork THEN you can add your own ideas just in case someone else has the same idea." Matthew cut him off before hearing a groan from his brother.

~Time Skip~

"Finally! We are done!" Alfred stretched out his arms and sighed, looking out the window.

It was nearly past the afternoon and Alfred had just finished the paperwork as fast as he could cause he wanted to eat lunch so badly. "Now can I say my lovely idea?" He looked over to Matthew and Toris.

Matthew fixed up the papers and sighed. "Fine, what is your lovely idea?"

"Okay sassy pants.. How about we have a contest? For maybe the most beautiful? For guys, most handsome." Alfred explained.

"Mm... That can work, I'm sure we would need a prize for the winner right?" Toris asked.

"Yes! I was thinking maybe the winners of both contests will dance together. Maybe gold coins can be the prize." Alfred smiled, getting up from this throne.

"Actually, we can't do that.. The prize is a work in progress..." He paused and snapped his fingers. "Oh! How about an invitation to our ball? I know only royals can come."

"What if one of the winners is royal?" Matthew asked.

"Maybe they can give their prize to someone else." Alfred said then thought about it before sighing. "Hmm.. Lets just leave it as a work in progress for now."

Toris walked over and nodded. "Amazing! Hardly any other goes to the ball. I will go and set these out to the cilvilans and I will tell them about the contest too. They'll be so excited!"

Toris grabbed the stack of paper then left the room.

"Were the invitations were a success?" Alfred brought up.

Matthew nodded. "No one declined so all the kingdoms will be coming.. Even royals are excited about it."

"Good.. I hope he comes..." Alfred nodded and mumbled to himself softly.

Alfred ate a feast. He was so hungry and it was so rare when he is not. "Oh my god! Yao-Yao this is great!" He talked as he ate.

"Ai-ya! How many times do I have to say? Don't call me that and DON'T talk with your mouth full" The Chinese man rubbed his temple and sighed.

Alfred swallowed his feet and smiled. "Ahahaha! Sorry! I can't help it!"

"You can't help many things.. Like wetting the be-" Kiku smiled as he was pouring his drink. "HEY!" Alfred blushed. "I hate how you and Matt always end up doing that.. Saying embarrassing things.." He pouted.

"Because it's fun to see your reaction." Matthew laughed.

"I hate you.. But I love you." Alfred glared at his brother before smiling again then continued to eat.
