Kwite stood on the path across the street from his house, watching as it was engulfed up in flames.

He couldn't do anything but watch as his home was burnt to ashes infront of him. His setup, his room, the memorabilia stored throughout the house, all he could do was watch. Even his fucking costume for fucks sake . His parents were always too busy, and as of now, were on a busiess trip somewhere in Australia. He actually asked to go on that one, just to meet Kappa. But no, it didnt work out.

"Theyre gonna kill me" He mumbled as he watched a big ball of fire escape through a window and a loud blast resonated through the street he lived in.

Neighbours ran outside of their houses and onto the street, gasping in horror as they see the house ablaze. Kwite looked around as he was pulled out of his thoughts asthe loud gasps and frantic yelling finally reached his ears. he looked down to his feet as tears pricked his eyes.

'Please, this cant be happening'  He thought as he wiped his face with the back of his hand and tried his best to suppress the sobs that were lodged in the back of his throat. He looked behind him as a elderly lady placed her hand on his shoulder and motiooned him to sit on the grass. He complied and the elderly lady sat next to him, frowning as she watched the young boy stare at the place he once called home, now just crumbling to the ground, firemen hosing it down and yeling orders at one another.

"Where are your parents?" She asked, breaking the tense atmosphere. Kwite looked up to her in surprised before clearing his throat.

"Business trip in Australia. They wont be back for a long while" He murmured as he sat straight and took a deep breathe, looking back up to her.

"Whats your name?" The lady asked.

"Kwite. yours?"

"Bethany"

"Nice to meet you Bethany" Kwite forced a smile to his lips and held out his hand for her to shake.

"Nice to meet you too, Kwite" The lady, now dubbed Bethany, smiled too, reaching for his hand and shaking it before letting go and placing both her hands in her lap.

Kwite did the same. He then had the sudden realisation that he indeed still had his phone, and quickly pulled it out, Bethany watching as he did so.

"Come on..." He mumbled as his phone lagged a bit as discord loaded on his phone and finally opened. He swiped and swiped until he pressed onto the discord chat that included all his close firends and thought of what to say.

'What should i say? I cant just say 'hey just watched my house burn down to the ground #lit' and go on with his day'

Kwite's fingers hovered over the keyboard, typing in words then quickly deleting them. After a minute of writing then quickly deleting, he turned off his phone and put it down, wracking his brain on answers on what to say. After a few seconds of deep thinking, his phone dinged. He picked it up and saw that Ani had sent a message to the same groupchat he was going to message just a seconds earlier.

Kinganii: kwite whats taking you so long just spit it out

Kwite took a deep breath in and opened the app once again.

Kwite: Idk how to say what i want to say without it sounding like im boasting about it

Kwite breathed in and coughed as smoke billowed towards him. Bethany helped him up and they walked over to a group of people that seemedto be standing in a more safe zone of the disaster. Kwite couldnt help but feel empty when he looked at the remnants of the place he called home.
