Kwite woke up and the first thing he heard was a lot of chatter. As he yawned and sat up, trying his best to wake up, he opened his eyes and saw through the window how close to the ground the plane was.

"Looks like we're here... " Kwite mumbled as he grabbed his bag and packed away the things he had out.  He looked over to his side to see the lady that he was sat next too still writing.

Kwite shook his head and kept sitting in his chair until the passengers were informed that the plane had landed and everyone could get off. Kwite followed the people as they exited the plane into the airport.
He made his way to the luggage area to grab his only suitcase before fixing his backpack and trudging along to the front of the airport where all the mini stores and shops were located to grab a bite as he waited for his grandparents to pick him up.

After waiting near an old rickety stand filled with postcards, Kwite flinched as yelling filled the airport.

"Kwite! Is that you!?"

He looked around hesitantly and was met with his nan right in front of him, engulfing him in a big warm hug while his pop reached for his suitcase and grinned warmly towards his grandkid.

"We havent seen you in years! And then the time we do its because the house went down in flames, tch, we should really schedule better times" His nan joked and unwrapped herself from Kwite before taking his hand and walking to the exit of the airport.

"How was the flight?" His pop asked him.

"Not eventful, the lady sitting next to me was writing the whole time and i just slept most of the flight besides going to the bathroom or just staring out the window" Kwite answered and was surprised when his pop ruffled his hair.

"Haha, we'll be sure to make this stay eventful"

Kwite smiled. His dread and anxiety were melted away with excitement and warmth from the kindness he was shown.

Soon enough, the group made it to their car, which was parked a bit from the airport due to the traffic, and were driving home. His pop and nan had switched to speaking japanese and encouraged Kwite to talk in japanese and helping him remember the bits and pieces he had forgotten over the years.

—————————————

Soon enough they all made it home. Kwite got out the car and sighed as he gazed upon the house he use to visit when he was younger and how much it had changed. His pop walked past him and purposefully bumped into Kwite and snickered as he shouted something in japanese and his nan looked at Kwite with her soft doe eyes before chuckling and gesturing for him to walk up the driveway and into the house.

After an hour of settling and everyone playing little games with each other, Kwites room was ready. He remembered how his nan told him he could go out and buy stuff to put in his room and that pop would happily take him to the city or he could just ask first before using her card to buy stuff online. Kwite hugged her and said his thank yous before jet lag started to take its toll more than before and told her how he was going to have a quick nap.

When Kwite woke up, it took him a second to remember where he was.. He rolled over to the desk beside his bed and picke dup his phone, turning it on and seeing how it was only 12pm. Kwite sighed and unlocked his phone, finally seeing all the notifications he had gotten since he had taken the flight. he gulped and closed his phone again, he was too nervous to face the consequences of his actions. Kwite got up from his bed and put on different clothes. He walked out of his room and into the lounge room where his nan was watching some japanese drama.

Remembering all the japanese he could, he got all the strength to ask her a question.

"Nan, could i maybe take a stroll around the neighbourhood? I remember most of the place, but i would love to clear my head" He stumbled on some words, but besides that, he was proud of himself for remembering enough japanese to ask her that.

His nan turned around and gave a big smile.

"Sure! Just take your phone in case you need someone to come get you or we need you here. The park is still down the road and they even added a new set of swings that are for big kids" She teased.

Kwite blushed as memories came back of him always asking to go on the 'big kids' swings.

"th-thank you nan, i'll make sure to check them out" He stuttered from embarrassment and went back into his room, grabbing his phone and digging in his suitcase for a pair of earphones before making his way out of the house and began walking. He plugged his earphones in and put on a random spotify playlist he made a while back and looked around at the houses and flora surrounding him.

Kwite grazed his hand over a flower bush as he walked by it, quickly tugging one free as the flower bush became out of reach and stared at it, memorising the colours and gradients it held. Kwite held onto it until he made it to the park. It looked completely different from when he last saw it. Then again, it has been years since he last saw it.

Kwite made his way to the new swing set and sat on one. He closed his eyes and took a deep breathe. He brought out his phone and gained the courage to open discord, immediately seeing fans going crazy over the new video he had posted that morning. Kwite opened up the groupchat and saw all his friends on texting eachother about his video and upcoming videos they were gonna make. He also noticed how most of them were in a call, so he joined and listened.

"hm, maybe not ano- KWITE!" Kappa yelled through the mic, along with some others that yelled the same thing.

"Your video was fuckin sad" Brandon chuckled

"Yea," Kwite swung in the swing, trying to gain a bit of momentum. "lets not talk about that"

"Hows japan so far?" Diesel asked.

"Oh, its better than i remembered. I was super anxious to come back but honestly, my grandparents make me wish i had come back before this had happened" Kwite said with a sigh of relief.

The call went on for a while, soon it started to get cold and Kwite was messaged to come home if he wanted to shop online with his nans newly charged up credit card. Kwite ran home and bid his friends goodbye as soon as he made it into the house and greeted his nan and pop before taking the card and searching up some stuff on his phone to buy.

"I cant wait for this stuff to get here" Kwite mumbled as he finished filling in all the details and confirming everything. Soon he would have a new laptop alongside some games, mics, and other stuff the epic gamer would need.

He was called to dinner soon after, which he was surprised by how much time had gone past, and ate at the family dinner table, scoffing down some sushi and chicken that was on the side. After eating and taking a long shower, he plopped himself onto his bed after plugging his phone on charge and drifted to sleep, dreaming about a reality that narwhals had overthrown the government.
