In the deep sea, An was sitting on her throne. She would never forget the day she confessed her love to Ritsu twelve years ago. The man had rejected her without knowing how it shattered her delicate heart like a wine glass smashing against a sharp rock, breaking it into millions of pieces. It would never be able to be put back together...
Flashback
An was sitting on the bench waiting for her precious Ritsu for a little while when her eyes caught sight of his hair being carelessly tousled in the warm breeze. The young girl blushed slightly as she approached her crush.
Ritsu saw An walking up to him with a splash of pink adorning her cheeks. He smiled a little. "Ritte-chan good afternoon," An greeted shyly.
"Good afternoon An-chan," Ritsu greeted back with a dashing smile of his own, causing the poor girl's heart to thump even faster.
"Um...Ritte-chan, we been friends for a long time now and... I think it is time for me to tell you something." An castes her eyes towards the ground. Her hair barely concealed the glowing blush. "I love you..." the words left her lips like a whisper.
"An Chan..." Ritsu was too surprised to give a proper reply. He had never expected it.
"Please be my boyfriend?" An asked with hopeful doe eyes. Her lips trembled a little and her hands were slightly shaky. She was very nervous as her heart raced a thousand miles.
Ritsu gave a nervous laugh and scratched his cheek while glancing away to the side. He was flustered and unable to meet her eyes due to the awkward atmosphere. It was really tense and his voice faltered, almost failing him.
"I am really flattered that you like me An-chan... however I'm sorry I don't love you that way. I only love you like a little sister. We have always been together as children so I never realized how your feelings towards me changed. I know it is cruel of me but I won't be able to accept your feelings after everything we have been through..."
"But Ritte-chan..." An tried to persuade him otherwise. The tears were already percolated on her long lashes.
Ritsu bowed his head in apology. "Gomen An-chan! I'm just not ready for a relationship with you... however I do hope we can still continue being friends."
An felt her feelings for Ritsu disappear in almost an instant. She had been turned down so cruelly by him without a second thought."Hai..." she agreed. Her heart throbbed painfully at being lied to. She hated it. She hated him.
"Gomen..."
As an apology, Ritsu kissed An's right cheek before leaving her alone. What had been meant to comfort her threw her into anguish. Watching the man she love walk away made An steeled her resolve. The fading view of his back in the distance made her swore to herself while she cried. "I won't give up on you! I make sure of that..."
Only the wind was witness to those words and carried them far away, leaving no traces behind.
End of Flashback
As loneliness settled in the empty room, An started to sing a familiar song Ritsu and her shared as children. It was not much but at least it filled the empty void in her chest for a while.

Footsteps resounded in the hallways and An wiped away the tear streaks, leaving no evidence of her weakness just in time before her two friends entered.
"An chan-sama, I heard interesting information about Ritsu-sama," Miyagi reported.
"Nani?"
"It appears that he has lover name Takano Masamune."
An's heart skipped a beat. It had to be a lie. However the seriousness on Miyagi's face convinced her it was reality. Rage took over her. She balled her hands into tiny fists and marched downstairs to the dungeon.She slammed open the wooden door with tremendous force that it threatened to give way at its hinges but An paid no heed. She was livid.
Mrs. Onodera hung from the chains on the wall. She was as pale as death.
With not an ounce of compassion in her, An smacked the elderly lady across the face so hard it left a bruise on her cheek.
"Why didn't you tell me that your son had a lover!"
"Because if you...knew then you ...would've killed him..." the elderly women reply weakly.
"Then that is exactly what I'll do," An hissed venomously.
"Miyagi! Make sure you and Shinobu bring Takano-san and the rest of his friends here alive. I want to tear them up myself."
"Yes, my lady," the loyal man obeyed and left in a flash.
An-chan gave Lady Onodera a cold hearted look that soon morphed into a malicious smile. "If your son doesn't agree to marry me, you and your future son-in-law will all die!"
The young lady left the prison cell with the door slamming shut behind her. Her cackles could still be heard for a while before it disappeared.
Lady Onodera started sobbing. What had changed that sweet young girl she once knew into such a twisted freak of nature.
"Hiroki! Please warn Ritsu about An-chan's plans to kidnap his friends and lover! Make haste, we have no time to lose..."
"Yes my lady!" in a flash Hiroki disappeared. Lady Onodera silently prayed. "Please be safe..."
