I woke up and got dressed and put my hair in a ponytail. Today was the day that I needed to figure out who I liked. I woke up Kenzie. She was the best at these things.
A(whispering): Kenzie, wake up.
She woke up and went into the closet with me. We were whispering to not wake up the others.
K: What's up?
A: I need to figure out who I like.
K: I got this.
Kenzie started rummaging around for something, but I wasn't sure what. She pulled out a quarter.
K: Aha!
A: What are we going to do with that?
K: Easy, flip it!
A: Okay…
K: Heads is Johnny, Tails is Hayden.
Kenzie flipped the coin and it landed on tails.
|| Kenzie's POV ||
I flipped the coin and it landed on tails. Hayden. Annie's face dropped. She wasn't happy at all.
K: You like Johnny.
A: Oh, but I thought Hayden was tails?
Now, she was smiling.
K: It isn't about the coin, it is about your reaction to the coin! Once you got Hayden, you were sad. Then I told you it was Johnny, and you were happy. Therefore, it is Johnny.
A: You're good.
K: Thank you, thank you.
We both went out of the closet and we woke up the other girls.
A: News. I like Johnny. Not Hayden.
Nadia started clapping.
A: Also, it's Caleb's birthday.
Nadia stopped. We all walked downstairs to the kitchen and saw that my mom was making pancakes. I was forgetting something. I got out my phone and texted my dad. He was in Maryland, picking up the dogs.
A(in text): Hey Daddy! It is Caleb's birthday today. Hope you drive safe and have a great day.
D: I'll try not to cry too much. Love you, Anns!
Then, I remembered Johnny.
A: Hey John.
J: Hey Annie.
A: Today is an important day.
J: Why?
A: Caleb's birthday…
J: Aw, anns I'm so sorry.
A: It's okay. Anyway, we are having a bunch of people over for dinner tonight to celebrate. Wanna come?
J: ofc!
A: Great. Did you make up with Hayden yet?
J: working on it…
|| Johnny's POV ||
Once Annie sent that, I texted Hayden.
J: Hey bro
H: Hey.
J: Listen, I'm not gonna date Annie, okay?
H: why not?
J: I like someone else.
H: But she likes you…
J: She does?
H: Yeah she told me on ft.
J: oh…
H: You can date her, Johnny.
J: Really?
H: On one condition.
J: …
H: If I can date Nadia.
I liked Nadia for a long, long time. I stopped about when I moved here. Now, I like two different people that hate each other… great.
J: Deal. On one condition.
H: Wdym man, I already gave you a condition?
J: If I can date Jayden.
H: ...deal
J: great😉
H: So, we good?
J: ya, we good.
H: Great.
|| Annie's POV ||
We finished breakfast and it was time to go to set.
N: Morning girls!
All the girls: Morning!
The first scene that we had to film was between Sam, rhyme, and Jenna. That was me, Johnny, and Jayden's characters. But first, we all went to hair and makeup.
Na: So, Jayden, how's life?
Ja: Okay, I guess.
J: Well I hope it gets better, soon.
That crushed my heart. But it was just my crush who was talking to his crush, who happened to be my enemy.
Ja: Thanks, John.
N: Okay, are you done yet?
Nayip was very impatient, I should mention.
A: I am.
I hopped down from the chair and rolled my ankle and started to fall over. Just in time, Johnny hopped down and caught me. We just stared at each other until…
N: Save it for the show, lovebirds.
We snapped out of it and walked to set.
N: Jayden, you aren't in this one, so we will start without you. In this scene, Sam and Rhyme will talk about how they lost the people they love and they want someone new. Then, Sam will kiss Rhyme and they will move into a song. Got it?
A and J: Yep.
A: perfect day to sing about losing someone.
N: Sorry, Annie.
A: It's okay.
N: And, action!
J: Hey Annie.
N: Cut!
J: What?
We all started laughing.
A: I'm not Annie, I'm rhyme!
J: Oh, haha.
N: Anddddd Action!
J: Hey Rhyme.
A: Oh, hey Sam.
Annie started to get a little sad.
J: What's wrong?
A: It's just that I've lost a lot of people that I'm close to these past couple of days.
J: sorry, rhyme. But, I know what you mean. I just got dumped by my girlfriend.
A: It sucks, doesn't it?
J: Totally. You just feel completely broken.
A: I feel like I'm due for some new people in my life that I care about.
I took a step towards Johnny.
J: Me too…
Johnny stepped towards me. I leaned in and so did he.
N: Cut!
A: What now?
N: I need emotion! Give me true emotion!
Johnny and I just nod.
N: Get into it! And action!
We ran it again.
A: I've lost so many people that I care about.
I say, leaning against the lockers.
J: I get it. My girlfriend…
He trailed off. He leaned against the lockers right next to me. I put my head on his shoulder. I felt a tear drip down my cheek. I missed Caleb. Johnny reminds me of him so much…
J: My girlfriend broke up with me for no reason… I loved her so much…
A: It sucks, doesn't it? Not getting the love back?
J: It really sucks.
We turned to each other. Please cut it Nayip, I want to live this over and over and over again. He didn't cut it. I leaned in, so did Johnny. Our lips were 2 inches apart until they were 1 inch apart, then half an inch, then touching. He kissed me and I kissed back. It lasted for about 10 seconds until he slowly pulled away. I've never felt so magical. There were sparks, definitely. Usually, they stopped after the kiss ended but they didn't. We were supposed to move into a song but we just stared at each other. I could see Nayip out of the corner of my eye waving his hands and mouthing “SING!” So I sang.
A: 🎵You say I only hear what I want to🎵
J: 🎵And you say, I talk so all the time, so?
We continued to sing. As we sang, we sat down across from each other. We didn't lose eye contact the entire time. However, I could barely see him. There were so many tears in my eyes. I knew that if I blinked, they would all fall. I wouldn't be able to make it. I miss Caleb so much. We got to the point in the song where I was supposed to sing.
A: 🎵You say...🎵
My voice cracked and I blinked. I blinked! All the tears fell down immediately and I just fell forward, crying. Johnny obviously saw this, and he grabbed my chin, lifted it up and looked at me in the eyes as he finished my line.
J: 🎵Stay🎵
We both stood up, hand in hand until we heard Nayip yell.
N: C-cut..
Once I even began to hear him say cut I nearly jumped into Johnny's arms. Why did Caleb have to leave? I felt safe in his grip. I felt like he would protect me. And I knew that he would.
J(only audible to Annie): I promise it will be okay Anns. Don't worry, okay. Everything is going to be okay. It's going to be fine, princess.
When I heard the word princess, I knew it was going to be okay. So I loosened my grip, slowly, until I was about a foot away from him. I looked at him and he smiled and I smiled back. Then I turned to Nayip and I realized EVERYBODY was watching us. My friends, his friends, Jayden, Hayden, Nayip, the entire crew, and all the parents. More than half of them were crying and the rest were teary-eyed. I could feel my face heating up and I knew that I was blushing. I looked down and then at Johnny. Then, they started clapping? Why? Oh, for us? Aw, that's nice.
J: Guess we did okay?
A: Guess so.
N: T-that was more than okay…
Ha: It was beautiful!
K: Really, really beautiful!!
J: Thanks…

I felt so bad for Annie. She didn't deserve this at all. I didn't ever want to let go. I wanted to stay there comforting her forever.
