I guess I should start from the beggining about 3 years ago......
"Celeste Andromeda Raven you listen to your father and I when we're talking to you!" my mom pleaded with malice lacing her tone. "I refuse to do this! I will NOT marry the prince, I don't love him! I've only met him once when I was 5!" I yelled back immaturely putting my fingers in my ear. Not just that I just don't want to get married, men always look down upon women, we should be treated as equals and I'll achieve my goal if it's the thing I'll do! "Celeste!" boomed my father's voice over my mother and I's angry battle of wits, "you will do this in the name of the Raven family and to help the kingdom grow stronger, this is your duty as a Lady." I meekly looked at my father's warm brown eyes and saw a fire within them. It showed he loved me but put the people's well being before him and his family no matter what. My eyes teared up and I glared at my parents. My blood boiled and I finally burst, "If you really loved me I wouldn't have to do this! I hate you!" I yelled angrily dashing out of the room. I lifted my stupid skirt and dashed into my room. I ignored confused servants and filled my bag with trousers and tunics, I grabbed my sword and my bow. I grabbed my savings and dashed to the kitchen I grabbed a bag of dried fruits and nuts, some strips of dry venison and a flask of water. I heard the clatter of footsteps and ran even faster. "Stop Lady Celeste! Stop her!" yelled the guards to the sentries at the gates. They woke from their naps and somehow alertly began shutting the gates. I cursed my luck and swerved to the right nearly running over a maid with a bucket of water in either hand, "Sorry!" I called back searching for the familiar brown brick in the jumle of grey ones. I hastily pressed it opening the secert servant entry. I rushed through knock a few loose bricks in the path to slow them down as the entrance closed. I blindly ran through the familiar darkness towards a pinpoint of light, when I got closer I turned left. I quickly felt around for the root and grinned when I felt its gnarled shape. I spun it and yet again an entrance appeared. I mentally cheered and quietly put my back against the bricks of the wall. I stayed in the shadows and looked for any witnesses. As soon as I heard the creek of the entrance gates I picked up pace heading into the Forrest. I ran swiftly using my petite and graceful body to my advantage, I duck and weaved around trees and bushes evading tripping and looking back. I skillfully examined the trees as I ran looking for a specific feature only a few minutes later I saw an abandoned fox den. I quickly shoved myself in and brought dead leaves, dirt and sticks to cover the front and me trying to make it look as real as possible. I felt my muscles tense the second I heard footsteps. I heard a whinny and cursed my luck yet again, they brought horses. I heard the shout of commands and footsteps from all directions. I clenched my eyes shut hoping they wouldn't find me and silently prayed. Soon I heard voices and footsteps go past me and sighed quietly.I felt my eyes close from exhaustion and fell into a dreamless sleep.....
I awoke to a snort and a whinny. I groggilly rubbed my eyes realising my mistake to late. The sound of rustling leaves probably alerted whoever it was. My best bet was to evade the man and run again. I quikly jumed out sloppily drawing my sword due to my previous awkward position and my grogginess. "Who are you?" a gruff voice asked curiously. "None of your buisness!" I snapped at him not caring if I was being rude. I couldn't see anybody, where was he. I slowly scoped the area looking for the man. I heard a deep chuckle that didn't sound like it belonged to a man. "Awe General Markus look at the cute girl trying to act tough isn't it just hilarious?" A yyounger sounding voice mused. I felt my cheeks grow hot. "Well at least I'm not a sexist pig like you seem to be idiot!" I retorted. I heard another chuckle and the rustle of leaves, "This'll be an easy fight then." the gruff voice said haughtily. Now I saw where they were hiding, in a tree. It was man around my father's age his brown hair having a few greying hairs. His face had a few scars and his eyes were steely grey. He held himself with slight arrogance and pulled a sword from its sheath. I drew my sword up in the ready position that I had taught myself ready for any attack. I waited until he made the first move lunging at me. I gracefully jumped back putting my right foot farther back and spinning into an attack. I used the flat edge to hit the side of his face. He groaned as I smiled knowing I had hit my direct mark, his temple. I continued to dodge and whack him in the temple till he figured out a counter attack, but by then he was already off balance. I smirked and easily knocked his feet out from under him catching his sword mid flight and putting my blade to his throat just drawing blood while I pressed his sword where his heart was. "Hmm, how should I kill you, cut your jugular vein, stab your heart, eyes, chop you slowly into little places, hmmm so many choices...." I asked myself plastering a fake evil grin. As if I would actually do any of that I'm not a psychopathic killer. His face visibly paled. I heard clapping and turned my head as a handsome boy maybe 3 years older than me hopped from the tree. His hair was black and his eyes were a dark brown. His features were sharp yet masculine while his nose was slightly crooked, the only flaw on his seemingly perfect face. "How would you like to be my new general, by the looks of all the patrolling guards looking for a 'Lady Celeste' I'm guessing that you're running away from home and your parents aren't so happy." he said amused his eyes having a weird sparkle to them his voice smooth as silk. I slowly nodded my head contemplating his offers. "If I do will you tell my parents where I am?" I asked seeing no bad part to the proposal. He smiled and shook his head, "No I promise you I won't tell them where you are." He said with something slightly ominous about his tone. I thought nothing of it though. "So you're saying...." i asked making sure I heard him right."I'm telling you yes.'' he said smiling widely. I slowly reached for his hand and shook. "It's a deal." If only my answer had been different..............
