seungmin got up off the floor and headed to felix's room.

"i'm going to borrow some clothes, i'll give them back later."

"wha- okay?" felix responded, quickly returning his attention to changbin.

seungmin scoured through felix's closet for the perfect outfit: nothing that'll draw him attention yet still looks nice. he ended up choosing a black turtleneck and black jeans, wearing a tan long coat on top. he exited the room and went to his backpack, grabbing his phone and chapstick.

"where're you going? why're you looking like an emo sherlock holmes?"

"hyunjin's coming to pick me up. it's... cold out? so i'm wearing this."

"okay, have fun." they said their goodbyes and seungmin left to wait outside for his ride. "i can't believe he's going on a date with hwang hyunjin."

"he never said it was a date." changbin said. felix gave him a look and changbin nodded. "it's totally a date."

"yup."

"but now it's just the two of us..." changbin wiggled his eyebrows and felix smacked his chest.

"hey! you perv."

"what? i was thinking we could watch disney movies and cuddle all day."

"if that's the case, then yes."

seungmin checked his phone. 11:37. he checked the time hyunjin last texted him, which was 12 minutes ago. he should be here in 3 minutes.

5 minutes passed by and seungmin sat down on the bench. it's okay, there could be some traffic.

10 minutes passed by and seungmin started getting anxious. maybe there was a bad accident on the road..? yeah, that's it.

20 minutes passed by and seungmin was about to give up. did i just get stood up?

as soon as seungmin stood up to go back to felix and changbin, a familiar car pulled in: a black, 1998 toyota corolla. the car quickly found an empty spot and parked. the driver got out and rushed over to seungmin who just stared at him.

"i'm so sorry i'm late, the traffic was bad," speculation one correct, "and there was a really bad accident on the road," speculation two correct, "so i tried a detour which only made me later."

"it's okay. you're here now, right?"

"right. so, what're we waiting for?" hyunjin turned around and headed back to his car with seungmin following behind. seungmin took note of what hyunjin was wearing: a light blue button up tucked into black pants. hyunjin got into the driver's side and seungmin into the passengers.

"you look nice." hyunjin looked down at what he was wearing before smiling.

"oh, thanks. you too!" seungmin smiled and gave a small nod before hyunjin buckled up and started up the car. "so the plan is that we're going to get lunch at the cafe and maybe walk around a bit. sound good to you?" seungmin nodded and put the seatbelt on. "okay. off we go!" hyunjin pulled out of the parking lot and they headed on their way.

"do you want to listen to any music?" hyunjin asked after two minutes of listening to the broken radio.

"er, yeah."

"here's the aux cable, play whatever you want." hyunjin grabbed the cord and handed it to seungmin as he pulled out his phone to get some music. after a few seconds of scrolling through his playlists, he eventually decided on some indie. seungmin had his hands in his lap as he looked out the window at the clear. "who's this?"
