Drusilla Baker did not like the idea of moving to another town, but Riverdale was becoming unsafe and filled with murders, so her parents (being overprotective) decided to move to Greendale. Since it's close to Riverdale plus many of their friends live there.
She was saddened that she had to leave her old friends, but she knew that she had no choice also, she can see them every once in a while since they Riverdale is not so far away.
It was her summer vacation before going off to college. Drusilla always dreamed of majoring in film, ever since she was little she's had an affinity with movies.
It's true that her adoptive parents wanted her to take a more practical career, but it is her life and she should make her own decisions and study what she loves. After much talking and begging they finally let her take the major that she wants and for that, she'll be forever grateful.
Moving to Greendale has been hard on her younger brother since he is considered as the 'popular kid', but he'll find friends quickly.
He is very social and good at making new friends, Drusilla, on the other hand, is not. She's not entirely anti-social but meeting new people is not as easy as it sounds.
Her parents bought a house that's near the Spellmans. Her parents are close friends with them, they were in boarding school together.
She's seen them a couple of times and met with Sabrina whose age is the same as hers and her cousin Ambrose, she's not close with either of them but, hopefully, they are as kind as they were when they were kids.
"Mom, can we move in first then go say hi to them?" Drusilla whined, her mother Alissa Baker shook her head "no they're our friends we should go say hi plus they can help us unload the stuff from the truck" Drusilla groaned but said nothing.
They got out of the car and opened the truck and started moving the boxes and putting them on the porch.
Her younger brother Drew said "this place is so creepy why couldn't we move to Florida they have tons of amusement parks" Drusilla added "or we could've moved to Atlanta"
Her brother lifted his eyebrows "all the famous movies and tv shows are filmed in Atlanta duh" she huffed out as if it was something that everyone should know. Drew rolled his eyes "you and your movies don't you get tired of them?" she shrugged "nope" Their father interjected "stop bickering and start moving" they both muttered in annoyance "yes sir"
Suddenly a woman was screaming and running in their direction she came in and hugged their mother with ferocity.
They were both laughing with excitement "there's a lot of screaming here I don't think my ears can take this" Drusilla hit her bother "don't be rude they can hear you" Her mother sighed "oh Hilda how I've missed you" Hilda Spellman smiled and spoke with her British accent "so have I darling so have I" she turned and saw Drusilla and Drew and gave them a broad smile.
"You've grown up so much since I last saw you oh come here" she walked towards them and squeezed them into a hug, they both forced a laugh and pretended to remember her.
"look at you darling you look adorable" she pinched Drew's cheeks, he scratched his head. "oh, Dru you are looking absolutely stunning!" Drusilla flushed in embarrassment and muttered "thank you aunt Hilda"
Drew snickered and her father muttered "Drew stop it" Daniel gave Hilda a huge smile and gave her a warm hug "it's been so long since I last saw you Daniel, you haven't changed a bit" he chuckled in response "I hope it's a good thing" Hilda winked "oh it is" she clapped her hands together and asked "so do you need help with the stuff?" Alissa sighed with relief "yes please" Hilda smiled "let's get to it then"
So, they started unloading the boxes from the van and moving them to the house, they didn't manage to fix the house yet, but they weren't going to exhaust themselves, so they decided to continue arranging the house tomorrow. Hilda insisted that they should have dinner with the Spellmans and they all agreed, too tired to say no.
Drusilla walked quietly, as they were approaching the Spellman's house she saw how big their estate was.
She turned her head and saw a yard full graves and opened her eyes with shock "creepy" she silently muttered. Her brother on the other hand smirked and said "wicked" she rolled her eyes.
When they stood outside the door she understood why they had a yard full of graves, it's because they own a mortuary.
A woman who looks a bit older than Hilda opened the door "well well if it isn't the Bakers" she said it with amusement. Her mother laughed "Zelda" she wrapped her arms around her, they hugged for a few seconds.
Zelda turned around and saw Drusilla "oh you got one of those so do I, unfortunately" Alissa laughed "I guess we're both stuck with stubborn teenagers," Drusilla said "I can't believe you'd say that mom" Daniel shrugged "it's the truth"
Drusilla scoffed in annoyance, Drew said "see that's why I'm mom's favorite" Drusilla replied "oh shut it" they entered and saw both Ambrose and Sabrina Spellman standing by "hey there" Drusilla beamed at them "hey I'm Dru" Sabrina gave her a wide smile "hey I remember you we used to play in the woods"
Ambrose chuckled "at some point you guys would barge in the house and scream claiming that you saw a demon" they all laughed "I'm glad you guys are getting along" Hilda said in excitement "come on let's chat more inside" Zelda ushered them to the dining table.
