The warmth in his heart (Revali x Reader Sequel)

Let me tell you a story about a young hero that did not face the calamity head on but rather help save the lives of whom who did. She was told to be a beautiful woman with royal blood flowing through her veins. She is said to be from a far off land that no one has visited before. Rumors say that she died, rumors also say she got the godesses blessing, yet nothing has been confirmed. This hero has fallen in love with one of the champions, her feelings got accepted and now she is said to live with her love. But there's no better way of telling what happens next than showing it to you first hand:

"Bubbles are you ok? You look awful" A dark blue Rito asks a rather tired looking human. She only replies with a shaky sigh and turns her a head a bit to the side to not look at her husbands face. "I know, we've tried everything but our species are just not compatible, but please don't lose hope! We'll start a family eventually!" Yet no reply. "(y/n) please look at me" (y/n) stands up and walks out of the living room and into the bedroom, closing the door behind her. Revali sighs and walks out of the house, needing a little walk to free his mind from these painful thoughts. They have been trying to get a baby since almost a year now. Humans and Rito are from different races and so the wish for a child is sadly an impossible one. (y/n) has been in a depressed mood since the time they found out that there's no chance for making a family under these circumstances. Everyone in Rito village knows about their endless tries and bad luck, they feel pity for the young couple. Revali walks out of the village and along the path. The trees and green fields appearing in his sight, have already burned into his mind of the countless walks he made these past months, bore him and so he changes his route and walks off the tracks and into a nearby arrangement of trees. He spots a very thick looking tree being surrounded by small, thin trees. He steps around it's big roots and strolls even further. He stops once he's infront of the Hebra Plunge. Taking deep breaths and looking at a beautiful scenery always get's him calm in no time. He spots a big flag waving in the distance. His gaze falls on the big waterfall between the mountains framing this picture. His eyes try to follow some parts of the water from the top till to the ground where it joins the water in the lake. He does so a couple of times until his eyes start to hurt. He closes them for some time, but as he opens his eyes he notices something blurry falling with the water into the lake. He blinks a couple of times trying to get his vision to clear. Maybe that was just an illusion, a trick made by his mind perhaps. He searches the lake where this mysterious thing might have landed. And then he spots it. This thing starts making it's way towards Revali because of the current. Revali needs some time until he realizes that that is not just a thing, but a person instead. He takes no time and and fly's to the body floating on the water. The closer he is, the more scarred he gets, as he is now able to determine the race of this person. It's a Rito. He grabs them with his claws and carries them to the ground. After turning the body around to face hime he can see that this is a female Rito. He tries to feel for a heart beat or maybe hear breathing, but it was too late she is already dead. He takes some minuets to calm down and then carries this body to the guard located at the entrance of the village. "Kangi, I just found a dead body on my walk." The Rito named Kangi almost let's his weapon fall. "O-oh my godess! Do you know who she is?" Revali examines her face but no name comes to his mind. He shakes his head. The guard comes closer to see for himself and now actually let's his spear fall to the ground. "T-that's Army! N-No, not her! She just laid an egg. Who will care for this child now?" He looks down and Revali just has an idea pop into his mind. "I'll go to the chief and report what happend, you stay here and watch after the corpse ok?" Revali says leaving a still shaky Kangi.

(y/n) felt terrible. Not only is she unable to start a family. No, now she has sunken into a depression and made everyone around her miserable. Why, why? Why is she like this? Can't she just accept the fact and move on? It's been months for Kantlanus sake! The kantlanian has been standing in front of the mirror for hours now. At first she tried to find the fault for everything in her mirrored image, but began zoning out and started to think. Her vision focused on herself again and she got yet another glance of herself. Her dirty and oily hair is sticking to her face. The eyes only half open, not even one bit of life to be seen. The dark circles under them which only seem to grow from each passing day. And her bruised lips, the skin on them have started to peel of from all the crying. But you needn't take a look to see that this woman has become a complete mess, her aura speaks volumes. (y/n) decided that she's seen enough of herself failing and turns away from the mirror, now standing in her bedroom, back to her thoughts. The small voice of doubt has started rising in her mind again, but the girl has had enough. "NO!" She screams while she holds her head. She doesn't want to go back to her miserable self. She needs to make a change but how? How could she change the fact that she's unable to continue her bloodline? She doesn't know. And that small spark of confidence she has felt disappeared into the void of her heart. A small dizziness forms in her head and (y/n) tumbles onto a nearby chair. She holds her head and prepares for the incoming headache. It's almost a daily routine now. Her sunken eyes slowly shut and her mind rests for a bit. Until the nightmare kicks in. Her Body tosses and turns on the small chair. Her legs move, just as if she was running away from something. Her face twists in Horror and her mouth lets out a small whimper. Suddenly her Body twists into an uncomfortable position and slowly Slips out of the chair. Before her Body reaches the floor strong feathery arms catch her. Revali embraces her and coos sweet nothings into her ear. (y/n) awakes to find herself inside her husbands arms. And she sees his face, decorated by a bright smile. His happy mood tacking on to her sour one. She tries to smile back, but only ends up grimacing towards him. Revali on the other Hand notices the tries of his wife and only beams more with happiness. "Bubbles, my love. I've got amazing News for us." (y/n) moves a Little in his arms and makes herself more comfortable. 'What's it gonna be this time? My favourite flowers just happen to bloom outside the village again? Or maybe someone left another tray of cinnamon rolls at our doorstep?' she thinks. "Well...." he stops dramatically and Looks her in the eyes, "you're becoming a mother!" Her face does not Change in any way. "Revali how often do I have to tell you, I can't get pregnant? Because I'M no way near being pregnant" Her voice no louder than a whisper. "But dear, there are other ways to become a parent." She Looks at him with a confused face. "We could also adopt a child", her eyes widen, "and there just so happens to be an egg waiting for our loving care!" He hugs her tightly. but the female does not respond. She is too shocked to do anything expect repeating his words in her mind. 'Adopt... egg... mother... A mother. I'm becoming... a mother... I'm becoming a mother!' Her eyes tear up and the Corners of her mouth Twist upwards. She gets out of her shock rigid and throws her arms around his tall body. "We can finally be the Family that we always wanted to be!" The rito whispers. (y/n) can't respond except making small noises of happiness as her tears hit the floor.

A traveller walks around the village looking for the small shop in hopes of finding some new arrows. As he Looks around, he sees a couple. the male being a Rito and the female being a hylian he assumes. As he gets closer to ask where the shop is, he notices the state the woman is in. He tries to rush over and help the poor woman, but the Rito scowls at him, puts an arm protectively over her shoulders and quickens their pace. This traveller is left to stand there dump founded. He shakes his head a Little and continues on his search. After ten minuets he finally finds his destination. He enters the little shop and spots the needed items right away. As he brings them to the counter he starts small talk with the cashier. "What's wrong with that hylian and rito couple? I've seen them walk around, but the girl looked terrible." "Oh them. A tragedy has hit them. They're practically infamous around here. They've tried to start a family, but because of their race differences it never worked out. Poor (y/n) is having mental breakdowns...", the cashier gives him his back money, "You said that they're walking together right? That's a relief. She's been shutting herself in for the past months. Something must have happened. Well either way this shouldn't concern us, it is their business after all. I can give you some advice, try not to get close with them. Revali is very over protective over her and these stressing times only worsen his worry. There really is nothing else we can do expect giving them space." The traveller nods and thanks the cashier for the arrows. 'What an interesting story, I should tell Rahel about it!" he thinks as he makes his way towards the exit of the village. His next journey awaits.

"Kaneli I can not thank you enough!" (y/n)s face lights up and the tears appear yet again. "Please (y/n) I'm the one to thank you for taking in this egg at such short notice. Such a terrible accident. Yet we may not dwell with the negative and keep the positive. Army, our sweet soul, is no more, but with her 'sacrifice' another family was bale to experience the joys of parenthood!" Kanelis face shows a smile, but his eyes tell another story. Losing precious friends and family were never something he could endure that well. "Now I don't want to keep you any longer from preparing. A child is a time consuming investment after all." He laughs a little as the couple leaves his hut. His smile falters as his mind wanders off. 'The signs are too clear, that was no mere accident with her death... Who, but most importantly, why was she killed? And right after she laid that egg... Was it- No, it can't be. I knew he would do everything to make his wife happy, but to go to this extend... But it doesn't feel right. I need to investigate this more."

AN: Hey guys It's been awhile... Yeah ok I'm sorry for not updating for like half a year. I was just not motivated to write and my other hobbies took pretty much all my free time.
