"Hm,maybe if we try to call Daniel,just one more time."
I unlock my phone and press Daniel's contact number
"ocean eyed loser🤪✌️"
I sigh
"I can't."
•Sam to Zach•
Sam:Hey,Zach?
Zach:Huh?
Sam:I have a question.
Zach:What's up?
Sam:You know that one girl that you couldn't stop talking about after Daniel's graduation?
Zach:Cassidy Holder.
Sam:Yeah,her.
Zach:What about her?
Sam:Well,I was just gonna ask,do you feel some sort of way when you're around her?
Zach:I mean,I guess....
Sam:What do you mean,"I guess"?
Zach:I mean,she's pretty cool...and really cute.
Sam:....
Zach:But,she doesn't seem like "girlfriend" material.
Sam:What do you mean?
Zach:She's just not the type of girl I'm looking for.
Sam:Huh?
Zach:She's cute and all,but she's too into herself.
Sam:And what type of girls do you like?
Zach:I like a girl who's not afraid of speaking her mind,a girl who's compassionate and sweet,yet badass and tough,verbally and physically.
Sam:Shit.
Zach:What was that?
Sam:Oh,nothing.
Zach:Well,is that what you wanted to hear?
Sam:Yeah,sorry for bothering you.
Zach:You never bother me.

Zach smiles at Sam and turns back to his phone
Bryana:Zach,you okay back there?
Zach:Um,yeah?
Bryana:Okay,just checking.
Zach:Ok...
Jonah calls Corbyn
Sam:Jonah?
Jonah:Yeah?
Sam:Have you ever thought about situations like this?
Jonah:I have,a couple times.
Sam:Have those thoughts ever seemed to,I don't know,sadden you?
Jonah:Yes.
Corbyn answers Jonah's call
Jonah:Corbyn.
Corbyn:What is it,Jonah?
Jonah:I think we need to make a stop.
Corbyn:What do you mean?
Jonah:There's a hotel a couple minutes away,we could sleep there and figure everything else out at sunrise.
Corbyn:Alright.
Jonah:Just keep following us.
Corbyn:Okay.
Jonah ends the call
Jonah puts his phone in his back-pocket
Bryana:Jonah?
Jonah:What is it,Bryana.
Bryana:I'll stay at the hotel with you guys,I need to find my boyfriend.
Sam:No!
Zach:Um...
Sam:We have enough people looking for him.
Zach:Yeah...
Sam:You could rent a car or something.
Jonah:Sam,don't be silly.
Bryana:Yeah,Sam.
Bryana tosses Sam a fake smile
Sam mumbles
"Bitch."
Bryana:Did you say something?
Sam:No,of course not!
Zach snickers
Jonah:Just ignore them,Bryana.
Sam:Yeah Bryana,ignore us.
Zach:Ya,we smelly.
Sam:Ya,we smelly rats.
Zach:Ya ya.
Bryana:....
Sam takes her phone out

I scroll through Instagram
imzachherron just made a post
I click on the notification
A picture of me with tears on my face popped up
Caption:"If any of you happen to see Daniel,please contact me or one of the others. We really need him to be home with us. Daniel,please come back.❤️"
I look at Zach
He looks at me
•Zach's POV•
I look at Sam
"God,she's beautiful."
We make eye contact
•Sam's POV•
I lock eyes with Zach
He starts leaning towards me
I start to lean towards him

I was only inches away from Sam
I started to lean even closer
I jump to the sound of a loud bang on Sam's car window
•Normal POV•
Sam and Zach jump away from each other and turn towards Sam's car window
Illiana yells through the glass
Illiana:What are you two doing?
Sam opens the door and gets out
Zach gently wipes his hands on his thighs and runs his fingers through his hair
Sam:Where are we?
Jonah gets out the car
Jonah:A hotel.
Corbyn and the others walk towards Jonah
Bryana gets out the car and stands next to Jonah
Jack:How long do we plan on staying here?
Jonah:Until we get another clue.
Corbyn:How are we supposed to find more clues,it's already 2am.
Y/N:There's limelights all over the world,maybe they could help us.
Suzette:Yeah,maybe if we post something about Daniel,some limelights could possibly help us.
Sam:Zach posted a couple minutes ago.
Zach hops out the car and stands next to Sam
Zach:Let me check my comments.
Corbyn:I'll help you check.
Jonah:While Zach and Corbyn check through the comments,let's start walking.
~10 minutes later~
•Hotel room 16•
Jonah:There's only 4 beds in here,who's staying here?
Jana:Me.
Cecilia:I guess I'll sleep here.
Suzette:Me.
Bryana:I'll stay with them,in case something happens.
Jonah:Okay,thanks.
Bryana winks at Jonah
•Hotel room 20•
Jonah:4 beds,who's staying here.
Illiana:Me.
Y/N:Me.
Shya:Me....
Jack:I'll stay with them.
•Hotel room 17•
Jonah:The rest of us will stay in this room.
Zach:Jonah,I don't see any comments saying that they've seen Daniel.
Jonah:We'll give it another check,tomorrow.
Corbyn:Alright.
Corbyn and Zach turn their phones off
Jonah:Sam,you'll sleep in the bed next to me.
Corbyn:Zach and I will sleep in the two beds on the other side of the room.
Jonah:Alright,night guys.
Sam:Night.
Zach:Goodnight.
Corbyn:Night.
All 4 of them hop into their beds and turn their lamps off
