Chapter 1 | Angel Eyes

It was just another Friday night for Faith Pearson, the 25 year old actress, she had just got home from the theatre, she was starring in Wicked as Elphaba. She found it so funny, from Friday trough Sunday she had to act as a green witch, and the rest of the week she was indeed a witch working in the wizarding world as an astronomer. She made herself dinner, showered so she could take off all the green paint and then went straight to bed.

Faith woke up at 9a.m. and immediately saw an owl outside of her window. The owl was carrying a letter that seemed so familiar to Faith. She opened the window, took the letter and thanked the owl as it flew away.
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry the envelope said. Faith opened the envelope, she was really curious, why would she receive a letter from the school she graduated 7 years ago?
"Dear Miss Pearson,
I hope you are very good, I have been up to your work and I find myself amazed at how great of an astronomer you have become. Minerva has told me in the muggle world you have been up to something called musicals? I really do not know what that is but she says you are great.
I have a job offer for you, we need a new Muggle Studies teacher, immediately McGonagall and I thought of you. We would love to have you as a teacher, if you want to talk about this opportunity please come to Hogwarts, I will be here all summer.

Faith sat on her bed shocked, she always wanted to be a teacher, this opportunity was her chance. Wicked was ending next week and she could write anywhere so nothing was really stopping her. Still thinking about the letter, she showered, got ready and decided to grab breakfast at the café a block away her apartment.

"The same as always?" said the cashier that recognized Faith because of how often she went to that café.
"Yes, please" she answered. "And to go, please" She added, without really thinking, it seemed her subconscious had already made a decision. "Here it is" said the cashier while handing her a bag and a coffee cup. "Thank you" Faith said while leaving the café, she took her wand out and when she was in the street she stick her wand out. In no more than 5 seconds the Knight Bus was in front of her.
"Good morning" she said while getting on the bus. "To Hogsmeade please" Faith said to the driver while she payed. She took a seat and started imagining what would her life be if she was a professor at Hogwarts, she would miss doing musical theatre. Then an idea got to her, she would tell Dumbledore she would only take the job if she could have a Musical Theatre extracurricular class, that was it, she would say that.
"Arriving to Hogsmeade" someone said at the front of the bus. Faith got off while yelling thank you.

She decided to pay a quick visit to Madame Rosmerta at The Three Broomsticks, since she had graduated from Hogwarts she never went back even though Madame Rosmerta and Faith got along pretty well, we could actually say they were friends.
Faith open the door, there weren't many people in. She saw Madame Rosmerta with her back to the bar so she ran and sat at one of the stools waiting for her to turn, but it had been what felt ages and Madame Rosmerta didn't turn so Faith decided to talk. "Hello there stranger" Faith said while attempting to sound serious, "it can't be" Madame Rosmerta said while turning around quickly. "Faith Pearson what are you doing here?" Rosmerta shouted while running to give Faith a hug. "I can't come to see you and have the best butterbeer in the world?" Faith said in an innocent tone. "No you can't because you haven't come to visit me in ages" Rosmerta said now crying. The two of the caught up and all this time Faith saw a guy of around 30 something years old, with a pair of beautiful green eyes seeing them. Faith smiled at the guy before he left.
Around two hours passed and Faith finally left The Three Broomsticks, she walked to Hogwarts, she had missed the castle so much.

She found herself at the gates admiring the place when she heard footsteps. "Hi there, can I help you?" someone said behind Faith. She turned around and was excited at what she had just seen "Hagrid!" Faith squeaked as she hugged him. "How have you been beautiful? Dumbledore told me you were coming." Hagrid said while returning the hug. "Yes, I might work here." she responded. Hagrid opened the gate and said "well you better go talk with him, he will be excited to see you". Faith said goodbye to Hagrid and walked to the castle.

She remembered perfectly the way to Dumbledore's office, when she got there she said "Sherbet Lemon" and the door open. "How can that still be the password" Faith murmured while laughing on the inside. "I was waiting for you, I knew you would come" the headmaster said. "You always know more than anyone I know" Faith said with a huge smile on her face. They talked a long time but then Dumbledore said "so, will you take the position?" he waited for a yes but what Faith said took him off guard "Only if I can give a Musical Theatre extra curricular class". Dumbledore was sitting and what seemed, thinking about what she said "Minerva has told me that musical theatre is a great art form and that muggles love it. So yes, you can, I think that kids that have been brought up in the muggle world would appreciate it" Dumbledore said waiting for Faith's reaction. "Then it's a deal" Faith said before shaking hands with the headmaster.

Albus explained to Faith that she had to be in Hogwarts a week earlier because she was a new teacher and had to arrange the thing for her three classes. He showed her her classrooms and her bedroom "will I be able to decorate them however I want?" Faith asked with light in her eyes. Dumbledore nodded.

When Albus and Faith were saying their goodbyes the same guy from earlier walked up to them. "Professor Lupin, great to see you. Let me introduce you to Professor Pearson." the headmaster said. "Nice to meet you" both Remus and Faith saith at the same time which made them chuckle. "Well, I should take Miss Pearson to her home. Excuse us professor" Dumbledore said. Faith was getting angry with Albus, why introduce them but two seconds later leave? She wanted to get to know professor Lupin, he was handsome and seemed intelligent. "A pleasure to meet you, I'll be looking forward to seeing you again" Remus said. "We will see each other soon" Faith said before running to get to Dumbledore who was meters away from her.

All that Faith could think of were those angel eyes Lupin had, she couldn't wait to see him again, maybe this year would be even better than she expected.
