Faith woke up and got ready. She looked at her bedroom, after breakfast she wanted to decor it, the walls were grey as well as the carpet. She didn't like it at all. She left her room and walked to the great hall but then someone called her. "Miss Pearson, is that you?" Miss Sprout's voice was heard from behind Faith. Pomona Sprout was Faith's favorite teacher while she was studying at Hogwarts, she considered her a friend, Pomona would let Faith go to the greenhouse whenever she wanted, she had always been excellent at herbology and was such a kind girl Miss Sprout was very fond of.
"Miss Sprout! I've missed you!" Faith answered while running to hug her favorite teacher.
"I got so excited when Dumbledore told me you were working here" Sprout said while the two of them continued walking.
They continued talking until they reached the Great Hall. "Good morning everyone" Faith greeted as she entered the hall. Professor Sprout sat between Trelawney and Hooch. There was only a seat left, the one between Lupin and Flitwick. She sat down and said hello to both professors next to her but professor Flitwick didn't hear her, he was busy talking to McGonagall.
"You look beautiful today" Lupin complimented Faith without looking at her.
Faith blushed. "Thank you, you not bad youse-" Faith was responding in a flirty way before Dumbledore interrupted her.
"Good morning professors, I'm so happy you are here. This will be an amazing hear" Dumbledore continued with his speech. "Today you need to arrange your classrooms, as always, you can paint them, change the floor and if you want change the tables and chairs." Dumbledore added before everyone got up. "See you later" Faith told Lupin and then winked at him.
Night had arrived and Faith had finally finished decorating the 2 classrooms and her bedroom. Her bedroom wasn't really big but it was perfect for her. She had a bed against one of her light yellow walls with fairy lights hanging on it. By the window she had a grey sofa with Hufflepuff pillows and a puffy blanket on it, next to it was her telescope and her bookshelf, one of the shelves was for her musical instruments, she had her keys, her ukulele and her guitar there. She had a fuzzy rug in the middle of the room and some posters on the walls of things she likes, such as drag, musicals and movies. The dance studio was pretty big, she didn't have to work a lot on it, she just had to change the floor for a wooden one, she put mirrors all along one of the walls, she added better light as well as an audio system. Her classroom was perfect, just as she imagined it. She didn't want it to look like a typical classroom instead, she changed the floor for a dark wooden one, painted one of the walls hufflepuff yellow and the rest light cream and instead of the average benches she decided to put 6 small round tables with three chairs (one blue, one green and one red) as well she added a long wooden picnic styled desk and bench. She had put poster on one of the walls and on the opposite wall she put up a bug bookshelf filled with muggle books, games, magazines, toys, basically anything muggle she brought from home.
She was adding the finishing touches to her classroom when she head a knock in the door.
"Come in" Faith shouted from the inside.
"Miss Pearson, is everything alright" Dumbledore was asking while opening the door. "Wow, now I get it." He added when he saw the room.
"Yes, everything is alright, why do you ask?" she questioned the wizard.
"Well, dinner has finished and you didn't come" he told her.
"I lost track of time! I'm so sorry." She was so embarrassed.
"Don't worry, you can make it up by doing me a favor,"He said to what she nodded. "I need you to help Professor Lupin with his classroom, according to him he has decorated it but it looks the same. And I'm sure you won't mind spending time with him." He winked.
Faith was shook, did he just showed her he knew about her little crush. She stood still, not responding.
"Oh Faith, I know you like him. I'm just giving you two a little push." Dumbledore said.
If Faith was shook seconds before, she was know about to have an anxiety attack.
"Don't be so scared, love is love and we can not to do anything about it. May I ask you something?" Dumbledore asked Faith.
"Su- Sure" Faith stuttered.
"Since you will help him tomorrow, may I help you dress tomorrow? We can tease him a bit." Dumbledore said very excited.
"Yes" was all that came out of Faith's mouth.
"Then I'll see you tomorrow." Albus said before walking out of the classroom.
"Did Albus Dumbledore just became the stereotypical gay best friend?" Faith asked herself. She was really confused. She showered and asked the house elves if they could bring her something to eat.
Faith was just waking up when she heard a knock on the door. "He wasn't kidding" she thought to herself. She was about to open the door when Dumbledore burst in. "I've got the clothes" Albus said in a very excited way. Faith just rolled with it and put the clothes he got her, a mauve pencil skirt with a matching blazers and a white blouse with what it seemed like a ribbon as well as black high heels. She had light makeup on and her curly hair was left natural. She had to admit it, Dumbledore had a good fashion sense.
"Let's meet the others for breakfast" Albus said while opening the door.
Faith was still not believing Dumbledore's attitude but she had to admit, she really liked it. All the professors were already sitting at the table, when she entered she had effect on Remus, he stopped eating so he could mouth a wow and he just stared at her.
After breakfast both Remus and Faith went to the DADA classroom. She helped him decor it, she didn't do nearly as much as she did on her own classroom. She just changed the brown colored walls to a light grey and changed the floor to a beautiful wooden one. She modify the tables so they could be easy to move and she changed the stools for chairs, at the end they were more comfortable. Faith had finished sooner that she wanted.
"Can i decor your bedroom as well?" Faith asked, she was hoping he would accept.
"No, you don't have to." He answered shyly.
"Please, I want to!" She told him while grabbing his amr and giving him puppy eyes.
"Go ahead" He said while giving up.
After a while she had finished decorating his bedroom, she was really happy. The bedroom went from a grey room with only a bed to a cozy cabin bedroom, she knew he liked music so she added a record player as a small detail. Before showing him the room she out on the record player one of her favorite songs "Blue Moon" what an irony.
"Come here! It's ready" Faith announced.
"It's beautiful," Lupin said in shock. Without thinking about it he embraced her into a big hug. "But not as beautiful as you." He later added.
They danced to the rhythm of the song, neither of them wanted to let the other go. There was a skinny love going on.
"The students must be arriving, we should go" Remus whispered.
Faith nodded and both of them walked to The Great Hall.
"Welcome everyone to another year at Hogwarts! I want to welcome the first years, I hope you find a home at Hogwarts." Dumbledore said in a way he only knew. "Let me introduce you to our new professors, first of all we have a professor that is returning to his position after a few years, Remus Lupin!" Dumbledore said and the whole room started cheering, the students loved Lupin. "And I want you to welcome professor Faith Pearson who will be teaching Muggle Studies and a special extracurricular class that we'll tell you about tomorrow." he added.
"The astronomer!" Someone from the Ravenclaw table yelled.
"No! The actress!" A girl from Gryffindor yelled as well.
It was obvious now who had a muggle life and who didn't.
"Now I want to welcome professor Flitwick who has a something prepared for us." Dumbledore said before returning to his sit.
"Last year, the chorus worked very hard so we want to present you a song, but we need a little bit of help," professor Flitwick said before turning to face Faith. "professor Pearson, you were one of the best singers I have had at chorus, would you like to join us one last time?" he added.
The song I Have a Dream started filling the air and so, she started to sing.
