Chapter 3 | Knowing Me, Knowing You

Faith couldn't sleep well, she got up at 5 a.m. even though she went to sleep at around 1 a.m.. She decided to pack everything and get ready for the day. She had so much to pack, she had to pack all things for astronomy, lots of muggle things she didn't need but thought were great for her classroom and of course everything for the musical theatre extracurricular class.

At 9:30 she was ready to go but she had to leave her home at 11:00. She didn't know what to do but then it hit her, she had to bring her computer to Hogwarts she needed music and videos but for it to work there she had to do some magic to it. So that's what she did, for 1 hour and a half she did her best to make her computer work there.

She left her apartment at 11 o' clock and 45 minutes later she had arrived to King's Cross Station. She didn't believe it, after so many years she was going to cross to platform 9 3/4, take the Hogwarts Express and get to the castle. "Hello there" a voice she had dreamt with said behind her, interrupting her thoughts.
"Hi there" Faith said while giving Remus a big hug.
"Ready to go?" Lupin asked her.
"More ready than ever" She said before crossing to platform 9 3/4. Faith was getting worried, Lupin seemed so tired and had what seemed like new scars in his beautiful face.
"Let's go" Remus said when he got next to Faith. They got to the train and it looked like they were the only professors there, it was empty, so they sat in the first compartment they found.

"Can I ask you something?" Faith said with a worried look on her face.
"Go ahead" Lupin answered with no doubt in his voice.
"Are you okay? You've got new scars." She asked
Remus froze. "I'm okay, thanks for asking, it's nothing." he said looking quite startled. "But now I have a question for you, do you really remember all of these awful scars?" he said while smirking.
Faith blushed. She had not thought about that but she really remembered, that wasn't a face she would forget. "Seems like I do" she answered shyly. There was silence but it wasn't and awkward one.

"So tell me about yourself." Remus asked Faith. " I want to know everything" he said with a huge smile.
Faith smile "Well, I'm a muggle born and I'm 25. I love my curly hair, I think it's part of my personality. I studied at Hogwarts, got sorted in Hufflepuff, and I spent the best years of my life there. I have always loved astronomy and when I graduated I was sure that was what I wanted to do. Since I was little and didn't know I was a witch I have always loved singing and dancing and got interested in musicals at a young age, so I decided I would do both, I would have two jobs, one with wizards and one with muggles" Faith told Lupin.
Lupin was listening to every single detail she was saying and couldn't erase the smile he had on his face. "If I can ask, why do you like astronomy?" he asked
"Astronomy is the key to a whole world we don't know, we've got planets far away that are even more beautiful than earth, we've got stars, this gas balls that emit light and we've got my favorite, the moon, a beautiful satellite that would never leave our side." She said while excited, she couldn't talk about astronomy and not be happy.
"So you like the moon?" Remus questioned in a different tone, almost as angry.
"Yes, it is my favorite." She replied with a confused look on her face.
"Even though the moon makes werewolves what they are? Horrible and creepy creat-" Lupin was saying before he was cut off by Faith.
"Stop it! Werewolves are not like that, they are the most caring and loving people I have met in my life." Faith almost shouted, she was angry. Remus only smiled.
"Why are you smiling?" Faith said once again in an angry tone.
"It's just that I have never met a person that said that, I've said what I said because it's what everybody thinks and I don't really know why but I thought you were like that too." He answered still smiling. Remus had been attracted to Miss Pearson since he saw her with Madame Rosmerta but he thought she was like everybody else, but after this he was sure he was starting to have a crush on her.
"I don't think that, I think they are the greatest people ever." She said once again.

Lupin stare at her and smiled before he talked once again. "Let's change the subject" Remus said and waited for an answer from Faith but she only nodded. "Tell me more about musical theatre that you love so much." Faith smiled, she loved talking about it. She explained to him what it was, even though he had seen her at one musical he still didn't quite get it.
"Have you done many shows?" Lupin asked with curiosity.
"I've got an idea" Faith said while standing up to grab her bag. "Let me show you" she said while taking her computer out.
"What is that?" Lupin asked while pointing at the computer.
"It's a computer" Faith said while laughing. "You should join my muggle studies class" she said still laughing.
"I don't think I will but I maybe you can teach me one on one?" He said timidly.
"Anything for you" she responded. Lupin blushed.
Faith showed Lupin videos of productions she was in, from her first show Mamma Mia to her last show Wicked, obviously she showed him others, like Heathers, Something Rotten and Rent.

Suddenly the train stopped.
"What the-" was all that Faith said before a dementor got in the compartment. Like if they had planned it, both of them got up and said "Expecto Patronum" at the same time. The dementor got away in seconds but both Faith and Lupin were in shock, their Patronus' were the same, a wolf.
In that moment Faith knew, Remus Lupin was a werewolf, he hated the moon, had a wolf for a Patronus and had new scars when the full moon had been just a couple of days earlier. She decided not to bring it up but told herself to talk to Dumbledore, she wanted to make the Wolfsbane potion for him, Snape was still working at Hogwarts and she wouldn't trust him with that.
"Take some chocolate" Lupin said while giving her half a bar of chocolate. "Keep showing me videos, you are great on all of them" he said smiling but he was as confused.
She did as he told her to.

When they arrived to Hogwarts Dumbledore was waiting for them.
"Goodnight to both of you." He said politely. "Since it's very late I'll let you go to your bedrooms and have dinner there. Tomorrow all the professors are having breakfast together to talk about the upcoming year." Albus informed them. "So go ahead and make yourselves at home" he told before leaving Faith and Remus together.
"Let's go then" Remus told Faith. Their bedrooms were attached to their classrooms. They got happy when they found out their classrooms were next to each other. It was the DADA classroom then the Dance studio and next to it the Muggle Studies classroom.
"We are here" Faith said with a sad smile, she didn't want to leave Lupin's side.
"I had an amazing day with you, can we please do that again?" Remus asked Faith, he really hoped he would say yes.
Faith hugged him and whisper to his ear "I have already told you I will do anything for you" he kissed him on the cheek that made Remus blush and then she entered her bedroom.
"I have a crush on Remus Lupin" Faith said to herself.
