I took Ayana around the campus. We stopped at the library to see Ms. Rikona. She really likes Ayana. She gave me a wink while we went out.
"Are you okay? Your cheeks are bright red," Ayana pointed out, concerned. I panicked. "Of course! Ms. Rikona is just being silly," I laughed awkwardly. Ayana smiled at me and took my hand.
"Let me show you something," she whispered and dragged me toward the janitor's closet. My heart was beating like a drum. I looked around to see the colors. I was so overwhelmed. I didn't take a good look since I was too focused on her hand. It was intertwined with mine.
She pushed me into the closet and locked the door behind her. She placed her hands on my shoulders and leaned in. I stood there, terrified. She placed a sweet kiss on my mouth. I shut my eyes, but I could see and feel the brightness shining off of her body.
She pulled back, yet the feeling of brightness didn't leave with her. It stayed. I hesitantly opened my eyes to see the colors. They were brighter than before. I squinted my eyes to adjust to the light. I saw her smiling at me.
"You see it, don't you? The colors," she grinned at me. I nodded my head. I saw a spark in her eye. "It's beautiful, isn't it?" She raised an eyebrow. I nodded my head again. I couldn't form words.
"Come outside with me," she said and grabbed my hand. She lead me to the field. I saw the daises poking out of the soft grass. She took a seat and patted the ground beside her. I walked over and gently sat on the grass.
"Can you feel it? The love and feeling radiating off of the world," Ayana placed her hand on mine. My face heated up. I now understood what I wanted and needed in life.
"Yeah. I can," I said and leant in for another kiss. My eyes were closed, but I could see the rainbow feeling closing around us. My body burned everywhere she touched. She felt like lava against my cold heart. I didn't want it to stop, but not all things are as happy as in the movies.
"Oh my gosh! The witch put Ayana under a spell!"
I instantly pulled away from her and looked up. It was Yui. I scowled. They wouldn't leave me alone. I was finally happy, and they're trying to take that.
"Yui. Not now," I growled at her and clenched my fists around some grass. Yui snickered. "Don't order me around like that. Don't forget your place. You're a dog," she said and walked toward us. I instinctively moved myself in front of Ayana. Yui laughed. "What? You're going to try a protect her? You stupid bitch. You're weak! You're nothing!" Yui shouted tauntingly at me.
"Try to see her color," I heard Ayana whisper behind me. I focused at Yui. I saw the rainbow of feeling around her, but I couldn't see it in her. I saw....darkness. A dark cloud of sadness surrounded her. And her heart...it was completely pitch black. There was no light whatsoever. I gasped. I felt Ayana touch my back for reassurance.
"You're not going to say anything. Maybe I have to make you speak," she glared at me and snickered.
I watched her walk toward me. I stood up and prepared for her move. She punched me in the face. I stumbled back a bit, but stood my ground. I heard Ayana scream, so I turned to see Yui's slaves kicking her and yelling names.
"Leave her alone!!!" I screamed and ran toward her. Yui grabbed my shoulder and spun me around. "Where do you think you're going, slut? I don't recall asking you to leave," she smirked and kicked me in the stomach. I immediately fell to the ground. I gasped for air and coughed.
"See? You're a useless whore! You can't do anything right! You can't even protect Ayana. This will teach you to stop meddling in other people's lives!!" Yui screamed at me while repeatedly kicking my stomach. I groaned and looked toward Ayana. She wasn't moving, but they stopped kicking her. They were walking toward me.
"You look so sad and pathetic. It suits you. Maybe I should beat you up three times a day instead of two," she laughed. Yui bent down and pulled my hair up so I could look at her. "Dont intervene in my love life. I get it. You're upset because no one will ever love you, but don't take that out on me." She spat on my face and stood up.
" love life? Are you kidding me? Mr. Aishi doesn't love you, and he never will. You're just a slutty student who can't keep her fucking hands to herself," I spat in her face. Her cheeks turned red. "Why you little-" Yui was cut off by a voice.
"Get off of her."
Ayana stood over Yui's friends. They were lying on the grass, unconscious. I gasped and looked up at Yui. "What the-! You bitch. You're going to pay for that," Yui picked up at nearby branch and stood up.
Yui raised her arm to hit Ayana, but Ayana didn't look scared. "Leave, Ayana," Yui commanded. Ayana stood like a statue. "Fucking leave, or I'll kill you!" I shivered with fear. I watched Yui screamed and hit Ayana with the branch. Ayana fell to the floor.
"Ayana! Yui stop it!" I screamed and scrambled to get to them. I was so weak that I couldn't move much. I watched Yui beat Ayana with the branch repeatedly.
"You think you're so great?" Bang. "You think you can fight back?!" Bang. "You can't do anything!" Bang. "You're a useless piece of shit!"
I watched the bright green grass stain with crimson red. "Stop it! Stop it! Stop it!" I screamed and crawled slowly toward them.
Yui continued to ram the branch into Ayana. Ayana wasn't moving. I wasn't even sure if she was awake. I had gotten close enough that the blood reached my hands. I stared in horror at the red on my arm.
"Yui stop it! She's bleeding! Please stop hurting her!" I yelled and grabbed Yui's leg. I bit down harshly at her foot. She screamed. "Get off of me!" I bit down until I tasted a salty liquid in my throat. Yui finally dropped the branch and pushed me off. I turned Ayana over. Her face was bruised, and her body was covered in blood and cuts. Tears clogged my vision.
"I...I don't.." Yui struggled with her words. I picked up the branch and threw it at her.
"You fucking bitch! You could've killed her! Everyone will see you for who you really are! You're an crazy attention seeking whore!" I screamed and watched her cry. She ran off crying, "I'm so sorry Mr. Aishi! Please forgive me!"
I looked down at Ayana. Her eyes were closed, and her cheeks were wet with blood and tears. I kisses her head and hugged her tight. "I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry," I whispered repeatedly. I heard her voice in my ear.
"I forgive you."
