Ayana Himari

I walked into the quiet classroom. Mr. Aishi, the teacher, gave me the key. I opened the door to find him kissing Yui. I saw them tangled together like headphones. I cringed and watched them turn to me and rip apart from each other.

"I wondered why you got good grades. You're too stupid to get anything higher than a D," I angrily spat at them. Yui glared at me, "How dare you?! You fucking whore," she was going to hit me, but Mr. Aishi pulled her back.

"Yusuki, come on, you know you're my favorite. I'm begging for your silence. I can give you money or something," he pleaded with me. I thought about it. Mr. Aishi was my favorite teacher. He gave me awards, made me lunches when I forgot mine, and was offering me a scholarship. I actually cared about him. He was as important to me as Mrs. Rikona.

"If I don't tell, you'll stop doing this? You'll stop giving her good grades for sex?" I raised my eyebrow at him. His eyes went wide. "What? We weren't going to do that! I was just helping her and she kissed me! I just couldn't say no..." he trailed off. He hung his head in shame.

I frowned. I believed him. It was wrong, but I still thought of him as a good person. Yui, on the other hand, doesn't deserve my care. "I won't tell on you, but Yui won't have my protection. If anyone else finds out, I won't help her," I smiled at Mr. Aishi. Yui's mouth went wide open. She glared at me and began to pick up her stuff. As she went passed me, she whispered to me, "you'll get it after school."

I glared at her and handed Mr. Aishi my homework. I walked to my desk and sat down. She stayed silent for a good thirty minutes until the door opened.

"Hey. Are you Mr. Aishi? I'm Ayana. I'm the new kid," I heard a sweet female voice echo in the silent class. I looked up to see an angel.

She had dark, curly hair. It fell just below her shoulders. She had a white uniform on with a black collar and cuffs. She wore black glasses and had a white bow on the back of her head.

My heart stopped for a second. My pencil fell out of my hand. It created a loud crash that filled the room. The goddess and Mr. Aishi both looked at me with confusion. My cheeks heated up. I was completely flustered. I couldn't understand why I was acting so stupid.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Aishi. I just couldn't..." I trailed off. I couldn't say that in front of her! She smiled at me. I'm sure they could've heard my heart beating at that second. It wouldn't stop.

"Hello. I'm Ayana Himari. Do you also have Mr. Aishi?" She slightly tilted her head and smiled brightly at me. My cheeks only heated more. If she kept on smiling like that, I would surely faint. "I'm Yusuki Nanami. Pleasure to meet you. Yes, we have the same class," I made sure not to stutter or say something stupid.

"Oh! Yusuki, you should show Ms. Himari around the school. If you can, can you also help her get settled into our class?" Mr. Aishi winked at me. I gulped. "I-uh! O-Of course! It would be a pleasure," I answered, flustered at the thought of being able to talk to this angel.

Ayana walked over and sat down next to me. She held out her hand for a handshake. I looked down at her hand. I offered her my shaking hand. Once I could feel her skin on mine, my body exploded with life. It was as if she helped me see the world correctly. The class seemed brighter, and my whole body heated up. Once she let go, the color dimmed. I couldn't feel the ray of sunshine in the world. I felt cold without her touch. I knew there was something different about her. Ayana gave me life.

"I think we'll make good friends," she said and winked at me. My heart fluttered. I couldn't wait for the rest of the school year. "I can show you around after school. Only if that's okay with you!" I offered. Her smiled grew wider. She placed her hand on mine.

"Anything you want, Suki," she stared into my eyes. I felt the world light up, again. I was addicted to the brightness in her touch. My arm was burning with passion and longing. I wanted her to hold me in her heavenly grip and never let go. I wanted her to touch me. I needed her contact.

She smirked and let go. A little piece of me leaving with her hand. "I-" I was cut off by the bell ringing. Soon, noise started to fill the halls, and children walked in and out the door. I looked over at Ayana. She smiled back at me. I weakly grinned. I was nervous.

Everyone stopped to admire Ayana once they saw her. I don't blame them. She's a beauty. The boys in the class would take their eyes off of her, though. It was starting to get on my nerves. Mr. Aishi cleared his throat. Everyone was silenced.

"Students, this is Ayana. She's our newest student. I expect all of you to treat her with no less than kindness," Mr. Aishi say down and motioned for Ayana to stand up.

She stood and looked around the room. "Hello. I am Ayana Himari. I like to write stories, sing, and play multiple instruments," she sat back down. Everyone began to come up to her. They were asking her questions about her old school and hobbies. I heard them apologize to her.

"Why do you apologize?" She smiled sweetly. They lowered their voices, "You have to sit next to the insect. Be careful. She's crazy. Who knows when she'll make a pass at you," they warned her. My eyes went wide with shock. I couldn't believe it. I clenched my fist in hatred.

They were going to take her away from me before I could show her that I'm normal. I flinched when I heard her voice. It was very calm, and that made it terrifying and uplifting.

"Don't say stuff like that. Saying that makes YOU crazy! She's completely normal," Ayana defended me. I almost cried. She's the only one who has done that in the whole class. I jumped in fear when I felt a hand touch my shoulder. I instantly relaxed when I saw the colors. It was her.

"Hey, Suki. What're you doing?" She smiled and let go. "Nothing," I answered. That was dumb. I was obviously reading. "That's boring. Do you want to play cards with me?" She brought out a pack of playing cards from her bag.

"Sure. Which game?" I asked and shuffled the deck. She smirked and scooted closer. "It's my own game. It's basically goldfish, but with truths or dares." She giggled. I smiled. That sounded fun.

"Any Kings?" I asked.

"Goldfish. Now truth or dare?" She smiled at me.

"Hmmm. Truth?" I said. I wasn't sure what she would ask me.

"Do you have a boyfriend?" She smirked.

"Hahaha! That's funny. No." I laughed at her question. Everyone in the class hates me. No one would even consider dating me.

"Any fives?" She asked.

"Yeah. Here," I said and handed over my five.

"Truth or dare?" She looked up at me with her crystal blue eyes.

"Truth." I answered and leaned forward for my Truth.

"Do you like girls?" She leaned forward, too.

I got nervous. I don't like girls. I like one girl. I like you. I couldn't tell her that. I then realized how close we were. I glanced at her lips. They were the color of roses in full bloom. I looked back at her eyes. They were the color of clean water. So shiny and deep. I could drown in them. If I did, I wouldn't want to come back up for air. I slowly leaned toward her. She leaned back. Her lips were so close yet so far. My heart couldn't wait for the rainbow contact. I wanted to pull her into my arms. I was so close.

BRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNG

The bell rang. The. Bell. Rang. I couldn't wait any longer.

"Yes," I whispered. I only wanted her to hear, but I think that my whisper was to quiet for her. She smiled and took my hand.

"I heard you. Now show me around," she whispered back.
