Hey there.

I see you, reading my one shot O.o

Don't try and hide, you're right there. I see you.

Why are you hiding? You must be deaf or something.

Or blind, considering you're supposed to be reading this conversation....

:P

(I had to, okay?)

No username for me, though they are all pretty amazing. I like my own! ;)

"Hey Blind."

Luke jumped at the low voice behind him, almost dropping his cane.

"Dammit Michael, you scared me." Luke said cooly. There was a thud next to him and he knew Michael had sat down on the bench.

"Why are you sitting on a bench in the park?" Michael asked quietly. There was no answer from Luke.

"Blind."

"Yeah?

"I did ask you a question." Michael pressed. Luke just screwed his eyes shut tightly behind his dark glasses.

Oh, the irony, he thought. I can open and close my eyes. But nothing chages in my head when I do.

Michael sat next to his friend without saying anything. He was still waiting for an answer to his question, but knew that Luke would take his time. Car's wizzed by on the road in front of them, no doubt to focused on where they were going to bother with two boys sitting on the side.

Luke heard them too. He kept talking to himself in his head. They don't care. None of those people care about one simple unfortunatteenage boy. Better to just go where they need to go than stop and smell the flowers on the way.

"Michael?" Luke's voice scared Michael, as the blond boy next to him spoke.

"Yeah Blind?" Michael leaned his head back on the park bench, ignoring the pain from the awkward position.

"I want to see a movie," Luke whispered, like it was a curse. Like he didn't want to disrupt the order of the universe.

Michael was taken aback. It was not what he expected his friend to say.

"I- Yeah of course. Let's go." Michael stood up and waited for his friend to do the same. As luke stood up, he dropped his cane and it hit the sidewalk with a metalic bang.

"Dammit." Luke cursed under his breath, and started to bend down to pick it up, but Michael grabbed it and handed the cane to Luke first. They laced their hands together and began to walk, Michael leading the way in silence.

He pretended not to notice Luke wiping upder his sunglasses with his free hand.

They arrived at the small movie theater and Michael bought two tickets for the first showing movie, some romantic one that he didn't even bother to find the name of.

"Michael?" Luke asked, his voice cracking a little as he spoke for the first time in half an hour.

"Blind?" Michael lead Luke through the crowd of people and into the dark movie theater. Their fingers were still intertwined together, and Michael found himself rubbing small circles on the back of Luke's hand.

"I've- I've never been to a movie theater." Luke confessed, and he was handed something. A bag. He felt around in it, and his hand sliped over the top into something warm.
