Reihana's POV...

Just like I've always wanted to finish secondary school early so as to focus on my goals and nothing more, so it came to me with ease .

The school will be announcing the new elected prefect in the assembly hall today, I guess I'll go late there's nothing to do .

The prefect must have known themselves , steph's crush have now graduated she got his number from his friends I guess she's been keeping in touch .

While ijeoma has vowed to wait till after secondary school .

So I told daddy to go to work,I still have money on me,I'll take a cab to school, without arguing her left.

Mujitaba came to pass me some wraps and left , it's been a year since we've been friends now, we're getting closer every day.

I went to the backyard to inhale something into me , ate again, apart from the breakfast I had ,took more money for food and left for school.

On reaching there,I couldn't find a single student in the premises , I peeped through the window of the assembly hall and found student still on their various queue, according to their class and according to their height , what are they still doing here? it's past eight .

I sneaked through the back door hoping no body saw me, I joined that of my class , I whispered to steph that's on her class queue "what's happening ?"

""Hey why are you just coming?"

"I figured I didn't have anything to do"

"Oh really ,you've been called as one of the prefect"

"Me?" I asked, eyes wide open .

"Maybe there's another reihana in senior class three " I add.

"You're the only reihana Abdulhakim in this school."

Oh my God, my subconscious kept repeating .

"I'll call the names again for those absentees if you know them tell them to come to school." the teacher with mustache said .

My heart is already ballooning in my chest , I can't believe this.

He begin to call names, till he got to mine ,he paused and looked at my class on the queue.

"It's not her usual habit" he whispered to the teacher next to him "

"Yes she comes to school early, but it's like everything changed today"

"Abdulhakim reihana, Assistant head girl"

What! I almost spat.

I wanted to remind them that I'm in senior class two not three ,but he cleared my doubt by repeating "Abdulhakim reihana senior class two A , can you please come to the front"

I turned to look at steph who is wearing a scowl now, I wonder why.

My already ballooning heart is about to explode, and my lungs are inflated two,there's no space in my ribs,I'll explode anytime soon.

I managed to walk outside, arm crossed and eyes to the ground.

"Why are you late?" The teacher asked .

"I'm sorry sir"

He nod once and continued speaking.

"I know you must be wondering, an assistant head girl from senior class two, but yes we know exactly what we're doing. From junior class one to senior class three there's no body with her kind of record , she's worth even the position of the head girl,but we'll wait till then and you can as well call her your head girl"
