Chapter 30
"Where is she? Where is my short model?" Trevor yelled, walking around for the search to find me. He's like a head taller than me, the hell.
I slowly waved and awkwardly stood there waiting for what's going to happen. Trevor gave me a tight, warm, welcoming hug, I awkwardly patted his back and let go.
"Now, in order to get you to walk like a model, you need to be comfortable on the runway. How comfortable are you walking on that runway? Please tell me positively, absolutely comfortable." Trevor quickly asked, acting like a bomb will go off if I don't set foot on that runway.
"Positively, absolutely comfortable." I answered, lightly smiling at him with sweet eyes.
"Ok, so you're good at lying. You look dehydrated, would you like some water? Can someone get me a bottle of water?!" Trevor yelled, having an assistant get him a bottle of water right away.
"Oh.. Thank you, but I'm not that-"
Before I knew it, he put the neck of a water bottle in my mouth.
"It's ok, drink." Trevor ordered, gliding his hand against my neck. I rolled my eyes and took a few sips. "Good girl."
He took the bottle of water out of my mouth and closed it tossing it to his assistant. The bottle slipped out of her hands a few times, but she caught it eventually.
"Don't do that with me, like ever again." I muttered, slowly shaking my head and giving him a serious look.
Trevor nodded his head acting like he was listening when clearly he wasn't.
"Can someone show her the routine?! Please??" Trevor yelled, having two of his assistants grab me and guide me backstage where it was filled with girls.
There was an equal amount of girls on each side in a line. It looks like they just got here too.
"You come out from the right, always on the right. Exit on the left. On the runway there will be two lines, eight on one side and eight on the other. You walk between those two lines and stop at the very front and strike a pose. Then you walk back here, do an outfit change and wait for the next line of eight girls to go. After you guys will be going one-by-one, that's also an outfit change. A girl will tell you who go after. Then it'll be the guy's turn. That's when you guys can take a short break. There will be an announcement for when you guys have to go back. That's when you don't do an outfit change that time. You'll be set up with a guy but girls will be at the right and guys will be at the left. Once the couple before you guys finish, you guys walk up at the same time and walk to the very top side-by-side and pose." The girl instructed, wow that's actually pretty simple. Hopefully it's more simple to do than it sounds.
"Ok! We're going to do a practice run, and go!" Trevor announced, making the first two row of models go.
I took a breath and waited for my cue to go. I counted to three and next thing I knew I was on the runway. So many lights.
"Stop right there, Cat!" Trevor ordered, making me go even more nervous. "Great, job. Love the way you walk, just make sure you have a fierce look in your pretty dark brown eyes."
"And add more hips to your walk, you have some nice hips by the way." One of the guys advised, giving me a small wink. I nodded my head awkwardly.
"Other than that you own that runway. Now strike a pose." Trevor ordered, smiling like I was his favourite person in the world.
"One question." I said, being a little confused about this whole thing.
"Yes, what is it?"
"You guys aren't a magazine for Brazil? Because you're speaking full out English."
Trevor laughed adorably.
"The only places we import our magazines all over the world. For big money." Trevor answered, I guess that makes sense.
"It depends on how much they're willing to pay for it. That's what he means." His assistant rephrased.
I nodded understanding and struck a pose and walked all the way back adding more hip to it. Two girls followed behind me, and then after that two more girls and so on.
"Great! Can we try this with some music now? And let's have the models try on their makeup." Trevor yelled, getting someone to play music and having everyone working backstage jump up and grab a model.
They played 'This is how we do by Katy Perry' and all the models rushed in position.
The way they put the makeup on was so fancy. I got up from the chair and girl rushed me on stage. I did what they told me to do, it wasn't that hard, I just had to find a way to keep the fierce look.
"Stop the music!" Trevor yelled, but no one stopped the song. "Am I not speaking English right now? Stop the song!"
The models started to giggle, I just held in my laugh but kept smiling. A guy ran to the DJ booth and quickly stopped the song.
"Sorry, I had to fix the wires." He apologized with a scared look in his eyes. Trevor just huffed holding in his anger.
"Just don't do it again."
I can tell he's the type of guy with anger issues and want things his way in a snap.
