Chapter 2: Race

(In Nome, Alaska in village)

~Rosy POV~

I had my eyes close, my dad told me to close them for a suprise. I started jumping a bit I was so happy.

Dad: "Okay you can open your eyes now"

I open my eyes I saw a small sled. I got so happy I touch it then I look at my parents.

Rosy: "I love this runner! I love this brush bow and I love this sled!"

I look at Jenna she was barking at me, I put her on the sled, she was now the leader of my sled team. My mom and dad laugh as I put Jenna on the rope.

Rosy: "Jenna! Jenna you are a lead sled, okay hold on just a minute, come on mush!"

Mom: "Then you'll need this"

My mom gave me a real sled hat, I hug my parents then I went on my sled. We went outside.

Rosy: "A real musher hat! We're a real sled team now mush!"

I got to the sled and I went outside, I ran to my parents and I hug them. I went back outside to my sled. I ran to my sled, I saw a one mile marker.

Rosy: "It's a one mile marker come on Jenna let's win this race mush!"

We sled to the race place to see the race, I can't wait for the racers to come here.

~Jenna POV~

Rosy: "Jenna easy girl woah!"

I was running till Rosy told me to slow down. So I did what she told me to do, I saw Dexie and Sylvie went to me.

Dexie: "Good morning Jenna part to be a close race it can be neck in neck"

Sylvie: "Say something about her new collar before she gets whiplash"

Jenna: "Um Dexie what a pretty collar is it new?"

Dexie look down at her collar then she look at us.

Dexie: "What this old thing? Yeah. Do you think um Steal would notice it?"

Me and Sylvie look the other way, Dexie likes Steal but he likes me I don't. We continue walking to the race.

Jenna: "I'm afraid Steal will notice anyone by wearing a mirror"

We made it to the race, we waited I saw Steal running mostly all the girls like Steal, he look up proud. I hope nothing stupid comes in the way.

~Dark Killer POV~

I was running with my master Paola, we were with the crowd waiting for the race to finish. I look at Paola she was looking at someone I look at her direction, it was some brown wolf looking around the place. He look to the finish line, I look there was Jenna there standing in a sled. Then Rosy came and hug her, I smile.

Rosy hold her hat waving it for Steal but then the wind blew it out of her hand. It landed near the race, I gasp. Rosy try to go and get it but Jenna was holding her. The sled team pass the brown wolf started running and I saw Paola run as well. I watch her as she ran to get the hat.

Then a goose came near me, he look and saw the wolf he scream. The wolf and Paola were passing all of them, they made it to Steal. He saw the brown wolf that he growl at him.

Steal: "Out of my way wolf!"

He didn't listen, he continue running. They were near the hat, Steal try to bite him but he jump up. Me, goose, Jenna and Rosy gasp, I saw the wolf grab the hat and was push to the other side, it was Paola. The goose got so scared at first but then he got angry with him.
