Black and White

Part One: Black

Everyone has a story. Whether it's good or bad is the question. Everyone has to go through struggles in life, but some are more permanent than others. And some are life taking. 

Life has a weird way of putting the best people through the worst things. At least in my experience it does.

My parents had a great relationship. They were perfect. That was until my eighth birthday. After i had blown out the candles on my princess theme birthday cake, my mother had decided to take her own life. Her depression had finally gotten to her. 

My father always promised us that he would follow my mother where ever he went, and he would take me with them. He tried to take that promise to the grave. 

Less then one day later he attempted to strangle me to death, then planned on overdosing. What i thought to be a blessing was our neighbors hearing my screams and rushing over to stop him. The police were called, but before they got there he had fled the house, and the town all together. Approximately four days later they found his body at the bottom of a forty-three foot cliff. 

After a few weeks in court it was decided that i would go to my Aunt Lexi's house. My so called blessing became my own personal hell. Aunt Lexi was into drugs, and heavily. Anything she could get her hands on she would take. She only had two problems standing in her way. A little girl to take care of and her rapidly decreasing money supply. So why not get rid of two birds with one stone? After less then a week i was sold off to the highest bidder, and at the age of eight i was into what i knew as "The Trade". 

The trade was what everyone had nightmares of. If they wanted to use you for their own pleasure they would. If they wanted you to fight someone else you would. If they needed a punching bag then you would be it. No matter what you are in a constant state of pain and abuse. 

That is exactly where our story begins.
