"I-I'm sorry," Lukas stammers.

"What?" I say confused about what he's sorry for.

"For kissing you out of nowhere."

With those words, I kiss him this time. (A/N ugh I didn't want this to get fluffy right away, buuuuuuut here we are folks)

Lukas clears his throat, "Um, we should find somewhere to crash soon. It's getting dark."

With that, we started walking towards a little patch of trees.

We got there and set up the tent that Lukas had with him when he ran away. We get settled in and I can't sleep. I'm still so numb from losing my family and the only thing that's keeping me moving is MIlo and Lukas. Milo is so adorable and he is like my own, but I'm so young and I don't think I would be able to support myself once I get settled into a town. I really hope Lukas won't abandon me though, he and I have grown close and I think we both like each other.

I woke up while it was still dark to Milo crying. He seemed far away from me and I panicked. I run out of the tent as fast as I can and I see Lukas holding a crying Milo trying to calm him down.

"Here," I say holding out my arms to try to calm down Milo. Lukas gives me him, but he still doesn't calm down.

"I think he's sick," Lukas whispers with a slight shake in his voice. I feel Milo's forehead.

"He's burning up," I say, "We need to get to the nearest town."

"I agree."

I start walking, but I hear Lukas call after me. "Where are you going?"

"I couldn't sleep anyways so I figured we could start now."

"Ok," Lukas jogs towards me and I walk as fast as I can.

"I wish I had a coffee right now, I could really use the extra energy."

"Ugh, me too. At least we are only two miles away from the nearest town."

"Yea," I say feeling getting even more drowsy.

"Here let me take Milo. You've been holding him for a while."

"Ok, thanks."

*TIME SKIP ABOUT ONE HOUR*

"LUKAS! LUKAS," I scream causing Lukas to jump.

"Woah, calm yourself. What is it?"

"I see a town!" I say nearly exploding from excitement.

"Really?"

"Yeah, over to the north."

"I see it too!"

*TIME SKIP TO WHERE THEY ARRIVE AT THE TOWN*

"I never thought I would see, civilization ever again," I say almost falling over from exhaustion.

"Let's go find somewhere to take Milo, shall we?" Lukas says looking around the town.

"Here! It says there is a clinic on Main Street!"

"Ok, the map of the town says that Main Street is a few blocks away."

We head towards where the clinic is and we find it easily. The one problem is when we checked the time in the town clock it said it was three in the morning so nothing was open. That was where I break down.

"We can't wait until it opens at seven! Milo could get worse! We need to find someone to help!" I say in an exasperated tone.

"Shh, it's ok, he only has a fever, let's find someplace to put the tent and we can get a little sleep."

"Ok," I say looking for a spot to put the tent. I end up seeing a little park that would be perfect. We set up the tent and I fell asleep as soon as I got settled.
