The band went back to Tokyo to get ready for their tour finale.
Everyone was in high spirits except for Ryota. He was a bit disappointed to learn that no one saw Ayaka in the concert.
At the back of his mind, he was hoping Ayaka will be there to watch their Nagoya concert because despite what happened; Ayaka’s presence still motivated him.
Now, back in Tokyo, they were finally in their own homes for a day. Ryota was in his bed looking at his phone.
He was debating on removing Ayaka from the block list but eventually decided not to.
He was looking at the pictures of them at the zoo and amusement park, He smiled bitterly.
He missed her but he knew eventually he would have to stop doing these things because she was someone he could never be with again.
Since he has a free day, he decided to walk around like he used to when he was confused or thinking. He wandered the familiar streets and took one turn after another.
Until he ended up in a very familiar place, the park near the hospital. He entered and found the swing where he met Ayaka.
The park was empty as he sat on the swing.
“I’m back again.” He said to himself.
He vividly remembered how an expressionless Ayaka stood in front of her the first time he met her and almost hit her.
He was looking on the ground, absentmindedly swinging when he saw a pair of feet.
He looked up and a familiar face was looking at him but it was smiling this time.
Ryota suddenly got confused on what to do; he stood up and decided to leave. When he walked past her, she spoke.
“So you are still avoiding me?” Ayaka said in a sweet voice.
Ryota stopped on his tracks automatically. He heard her speak for the first time.
He was so happy she could speak again and would have hugged her immediately, if only he could. He just stood there quietly.
“How long do you plan to run away from me, Ryota? You blocked my messages right?” Ayaka continued without moving from where she stood.
“You’re engaged and getting married soon. Suguru said that to me the first time I met him. I have no plans to give up but he even announced it in one of his interviews. I saw it. I even saw you wearing an engagement ring. I’m not supposed to love someone who is already in a relationship. You don’t have to be nice to me. I don’t need that. I’m letting you go.” Ryota explained in a soft voice.
“I see. So that’s how it was. I’ll commend Suguru for being able to do those things.” Ayaka answered with sarcasm.
“I only wanted you to be happy that’s why I decided to be quiet about it.” Ryota argued still in a soft voice.
“And that’s why you’ll just disappear and avoid me without properly talking to me?” Ayaka questioned.
“That would be best for all us. What are you doing here anyway? Suguru might really become angry this time.” Ryota questioned back.
“That wasn’t the question I’m expecting.” Ayaka replied firmly,
“What are you getting at?” Ryota sounded confused.
“Ryota, you are the biggest child-like idiot I’ve meet. Ryota, Baka!” Ayaka shouted before running outside the park leaving him behind.
Ryota was on the verge of following her but decided to walk the other way and go home.
