"Why?" Charlie asked simply. "Why didn't you ask us for help?" I look to Leo for support, but his eyes are still glued to my wrists.
"A girl at school called me names." I laughed a bit.
"Why are you laughing?" Leo had tears in his eyes, which had finally drifted away from my cuts.
"It sounds pathetic." I sighed.
"No, it's not pathetic." Leo reassured me. "The way Casey's treating you is pathetic."
Charlie cleared his throat. "I need to get a drink. Do you guys want one?"
"Can I just have water please?" I mumbled.
"Leo?"
"I don't want anything, thanks mate."
"Alright." Charlie ran downstairs, leaving the door open. I jumped up to shut it.
"Why didn't you talk to me?" Leo stood up and walked over to me. Goosebumps raced up my arm as his left hand met my waist, then he wrapped the fingers of his right hand inbetween mine, liking our hands together. He bit his lip.
I watched as he did it, mesmerised. It must have been obviously that I was looking at his lips, because a sneaky smile crept onto his face.
His eyes suddenly shut and his soft lips came into contact with mine.
"Leo, your mum wanted to know if we wanted to go to Starbucks." Charlie's voice said through the door.
Leo jumped back from me; just in time, because Charlie then stuck his head around the door. "Tell her yes." He replied.
"Okay, I'll be back in a minute."
"That was close." Leo breathed a sigh of relief.
"I'm glad he didn't see that!" I nodded.
"Should I tell him? What if he saw us kiss?" Leo asked.
"Uh, I don't mind." I shrugged; I didn't want him to, but I knew that Leo tells Charlie everything, and there was no way to stop him, so I just agreed.
Charlie re-entered the room.
"Did you guys miss me last night?" Charlie said smugly as he sat on the bed.
"No." Leo answered blatantly. Charlie pretended to cry.
"Don't worry, we did miss you." I patted him on the back jokingly, after playfully punching Leo on the arm.
"Good. Shall we watch some movies?"
"I think I'm movie-d out." Leo lay down on the bed next to me.
"Oh, did you watch them without me? Rude." Folding his arms sarcastically, Charlie fake-glared at Leo.
"Fine, we can watch a movie." Leo rolled his eyes.
Charlie got up off the bed and walked over to the pile of DVDs on Leo's desk.
"No, we've already watched them!" Leo shouted to Charlie. "There are some more downstairs."
"Ugh, I can't be bothered." Charlie flopped back onto the bed.
----------------------------------------------
In the end, we just watched the movies from last night, not that I could remember any of them because I was asleep last night.
"I'm just going to go to the loo." I said when there was only a few minutes of the movie remaining.
"Okay." Charlie said. Leo just nodded, not even looking away from the screen.
I didn't need the toilet, I just needed to make an excuse for Leo to tell Charlie. Looking at my watch, I timed a minute, then flushed, washed my hands and walked back to the bedroom.
"I kissed Del." I heard Leo say when I was about to open the door. Carefully, I took my hand off the handle and listened to the rest of their conversation.
