A Day in the Life of the Queen Bee

Okay heres the deal most teenagers most teenagers think I wake up in a fairly large house; it was quite a small house. An empty shell that tries to disguise itself as a house. I would love to wake up in a mansion and drive a porch to school, but I have two younger brothers that I have to take care of, while my Mother goes to work. I have very had a hard time. I am not rich, well not anymore. Not since this summer, but I am definitely popular and beautiful want to know what it's like to be, popular and beautiful. Keep reading.

I did my whole morning routine of getting my teeth brushed. Long blonde hair straightened to perfection and tied it in a ponytail, make up carefully done. I put on some cute black skinny jeans, which outlined my curves perfectly and a baby pink cami-top. I slipped on some baby pink flats and I was ready to head downstairs for breakfast. Perfect, as always. I have to be perfect - no exceptions.

Leaving my room, my Mom and two brothers Jake and Kyle gathered around the table to have breakfast in the dinner hall together. Kyle was in a high chair making little cooing sounds, I just looked at him and I could tell there was disgust written on my face as he dribbled his mushy food down his chin. I know my family life isn't perfect but I look perfect - everything must be perfect, my posture, my facial expression, even the way I eat. Nothing was done in my life without a reason; The reason was to be the 'queen bee' of high school. I am a great student always getting good grades (and I needed to because I needed to get in to a good scholarship I wanted to go to college).

"Good morning," I said my voice cheerful and pleasant, in front of someone's face you were required to be pleasant. Behind her back is when I could drop the façade. had to be strong for her, after what happened last summer .

"Good morning," my mom managed to say. I could feel her eyes scrutinising me as she pursed her lips and narrowed her chocolate brown eyes - something I'd inherited. "You look very nice today," she said to me causing my head to snap up in surprise, she ignored my surprise and continued eating her healthy special K cereal.

I managed two more spoons of my frosted flakes before my stomach clenched painfully; I pushed my cereal away before declaring I was going to school. It didn't matter about breakfast; I needed to lose a few pounds anyway.

"Could you take Jake to school please?" She made it sound like a question but it was really a demand, she flicked through her glossy magazine and ran a red nail that matched her glossy red lipstick down the cover. I said yes. Even though on the outside she seemed like a cool and collected woman I knew not to stress her anymore than she was already. She was worried. She always worries. About my university fees, about bills, about how she is going to find the time to look after Jake and Kyle. But I need her to know that I'll always be there for her and to help her.

Jake walked with me to my car, it was a nice little silver sports car, one of the most expensive gifts that I had received from my parents, it screamed wealth and caused people to label me as a "spoiled little brat." Well, maybe I was, maybe I still am. Though it's hard to be spoiled when you are poor. More than once I have considered selling it, but I just don't want to let go of something like this. I guess I am spoiled.

A lot had changed over the summer; I had changed over the summer. But today was the beginning of senior year and it was time to become the cold hearted bitch that everybody knew I was. I looked over at Jake in rear-view mirror he seemed to be twiddling his fingers and mumbling a tune to himself. His sea green eyes and soft brow hair complemented each nicely; He was defiantly going to be a heartbreaker when he grows up. I arrived outside of Jakes middle school. "Have a good day" I said to him
