The next day.

Fresh sunlight infiltrated the room through parted curtains. Gradually, the whole place was filled with brightness to the brim.

The room felt alive and refreshing but for Xu Xinya, it felt like a nightmare. "God." Xu Xinya grasped her head in her hands and cursed under her breath. "Just what in the world I did last night?"

She glanced at her side and saw a pill and a glass of water placed by the table. "It must be Y'er." She smiled to herself and quickly took the pill. After the effect set in, she felt much better.

Sitting down, she tried to recall what sort of 'devilry' she had done last night. But her memories were all mangled. She remembered blackmailing Xiao Yi to come with her to the club last night but other than that, everything was hazy.

When Xu XInya picked up her phone, she was startled. Twenty-seven messages from Xiao Yi. After clicking on them, she burst out laughing.

She laughed so hard that she almost cried.

If Xiao Yi had witnessed how Xu Xinya laughed after knowing that she had vomited in her brother's car last night, Xiao Yi would have died from anger.

Xu Xinya quickly suppressed her laughter and types a 'Sorry' to Xiao Yi.

Later that day, someone unexpected had come to visit Xu Xinya. Aunt Bao had sent the house butler to inform Xu Xinya. Xu Xinya didn't want to see that person. So she sent the butler to convey her words to him to politely 'fuck off'. However, Jiang Fu insisted.

Xu Xinya didn't want him to cause drama. Especially not in front of her family. So she decided to go downstairs herself. Once she stepped into the drawing-room, Jiang Fu stood up instantly. His eyes were dull as he fixed his stare at her.

"Ya'er..." He whispered; his voice was so low that if not for his lips movement she couldn't tell if he even said something.

"Leave." Xu Xinya quietly ordered all the maids and servants in the room.

Once those two were left alone in the room, she glanced at his appearance with cold eyes.

Jiang Fu was someone who took the utmost care of his appearance. His clothes were always neat and up to the latest brand. His watch and any other accessory he wore could shut anyone up. He would never settle for something lesser than the best.

In their school, he was nicknamed 'Prince Charming' by girls. From a distance, he looked so gentle, amiable, and like someone who would never harm a girl. Someone who would treat you like a princess. With his simple angelic smile, he could steal the hearts of countless girls.

But right now, the same dandy man had dark circles around his eyes. His face was unshaven, his hair unkempt. And even his clothes were full of creases and appeared as if they hadn't been changed in days. His watch was missing.

'Has he appeared in front of me like this on purpose so that I would feel bad for him and forgive him easily?' Xu Xinya couldn't help being skeptical of him after he had betrayed her absolute trust in him.

When he didn't say anything for a long time, Xu Xinya took the initiative. "Speak."

"Ya'er I have been waiting-"

"Mr. Jiang, you have lost the right to call me that." Her voice was indifferent.

Jiang Fu froze.

Xu Xinya made her intentions clear by saying those words. They were over.

When Jiang Fu couldn't come up with something smooth to say for a long time, Xu Xinya said.

"If this is all I will leave."
