Her Unexpected Love

Chapter Three

Nagkaroon ng pagkakataon si Reus na pagmasdan ang dalaga. She amused him, ni wala itong paki habang kumakain, parang wala itong kasama, o sadyang gutom lang ito dahil sa gana nitong kumain.

She devoured her spaghetti in bliss, ang sarap nitong tingnan. Ang tapang nitong umasta may pagka-boyish pa ata pero pagtinitigan mo naman ng maiigi ay nakakahalina.

She's something else. Her shoulder length hair is just right to match her face, she even look younger her age, I bet. She got long lashes na hindi pinagawa sa salon. Natural pink lips, na sigurado siyang matamis kapag nahalikan and her eyes speaks a thousand. I wonder who she is. Parang wala itong ka-arte arte sa katawan, which she admires in a woman.

"So Miss.. I think you're done eating and don't you dare walk out on me again, I warn you." Mariin niyang sabi sa kaharap.

Magsasalita na sana ito ng magring ang cellphone nito, na sinagot naman nito agad.

"Hey Jessica! What's up?" She answered.

"Nasaan ka ba Coffee at kanina pa kami naghahanap sa'yo? Punta ka muna dito bago umalis yung newly wed at matagal-tagal rin tayong di magkakasamang apat. Ngayon na, okay?!" anito sa kanya.

"Okay okay. Nasaan ba kayo?" At tango ng tango habang pinagmamasdan siya.

He called the crew to get their bill when suddenly she disappeared from his sight again. Nasa pintuan na ito ng coffee shop at kumaripas ng takbo.
Natawa na lang siya sa inakto ng babae.

"That girl. I'm gonna catch you soon." Determinado niyang saad.

After 2 months

"Reus, I am calling for a board meeting this afternoon at three o'clock. Be there at ipapakilala na kita sa kanila as the new President of this company. I don't want to hear any buts okay? It's time at gusto ko na ring magpahinga; and also you have to settle down and find a wife! Tama na yang kaka-date mong wala namang pinatutunguhan." Sabi ng Dad niya na si Ruel Primo del Verbo.

The company was founded by his grandfather, the late Primo Del Verbo, kung saan doon din hinango yung pangalan ng kompanya.

His grandfather was a tough businessman and he risked his every penny to get this company successful and in its prime always. Kaya malaking challenge ang kakaharapin niya ngayon. Not that he's scared. Minsan nakaka-pressure lang talaga idagdag pa ang panenermon ng daddy niya.

"Okay Dad. I mean okay to that meeting but with regard to finding a wife, don't rush me, I'm gonna find her soon." saad na lang niya.

"Okay son. Be ready. Siya sige aalis nako." Paalam ng daddy niya.

"Engr. Coffee Jane Sarmiento, sumama kayo ni Engr. Diego Abad sa meeting with the new President mamaya after lunch. You both handle the biggest projects here, update him with everything and don't leave any details no matter how small, okay?

Mabusisi ang bagong Presidente at hands-on rin dahil he's a Civil Engineer himself, am I understood?" sabi ng head ng Engineering department nila na si Engr. Rodrigo Basas.

"Yes , sir. Ako na rin po magsasabi kay Engr. Abad regarding sa meeting, papunta rin naman ako sa kanya to talk about the project sa Quezon City." sambit naman ni Coffee.

"Very well." sagot nito.

Ala una ng hapon. Kumpleto na silang lahat sa conference room at hinihintay ang pagpasok ng bagong Presidente. She knew the President's name Reus Primo del Verbo pero di pa niya ito nakikita. Masyado kasi itong mailap but she've heard na bata pa ito at napaka-gwapo. Talk of the entire company ang bagong presidente and she's curious herself.

Napaigtad siya ng pumasok ang hinihintay nila and to her shock, it was him. The man she slapped way back on Freya's wedding.

"I'm doomed." aniya sa sarili at napatungo dahil sa kahihiyang ginawa.

"Engr. Sarmiento is there any problem?" Tanong ng kasama niyang si Engr. Abad at narinig siguro sinabi niya.

"No, nothing". Sagot niya. Pinakalma niya sarili and acted as professional as possible. Wala siyang dapat ikatakot pang-aalo niya sa sarili.

Reus entered the conference room confidently and scanned the faces of the people present and one woman got his attention. To his amazement, he found the person who's been on his mind lately.

"Kung sineswerte ka nga naman. Dito ka lang pala nagtratrabaho." He said to himself with a sly smile on his face.

He presided the meeting and asked for the statuses of every department particular on their biggest projects on hand.

He acted dignified and serious, and when it was the department of Engineering's turn, he showed no mercy at mas binusisi pa niya lahat kahit yung mga previous problems encountered ng departamento ay hinalungkat pa niya para lang malaman niya galaw ng team.

He also acted as if he never knew the woman and he was surprised she handled the reports too well. She's pretty good, very eloquent. Not to mention, she looks very classy and pretty with her brown slacks paired with white long sleeved blouse na tinupi hanggang siko and her new colored blonde hair that just made her look very beautiful.

Natapos ang meeting alas siyete na ng gabi at bago pa makaalis si Coffee, he stopped her.

"Engr. Sarmiento, come to my office after me. I have specific questions regarding sa central mall na itinatayo sa QC. You're in-charge right?" Sambit niya.

"O-okay sir." She looked at her fellow Engineer as if asking for help, but he just nodded.
