Percy POV:

I woke up groaning not wanting to wake up, then remembering that today is my 18th birthday, and nobody was home except from my mother. Paul is away visiting his brother for a week.
I'm really nervous and excited at the same time , because I will find out who is my mate today. And from what I heard Will was thinking about inviting Nico over.yes we werewolves can hear each other thoughts and also block them out so it doesn't get annoying with too many voices inside your head.

"Morning sweetheart happy birthday your pack is already downstairs"

"Okay, gimme 10 minutes, and I'll be downstairs, also what time is it I heard Will thinking about inviting Nico over."grinning sheepishly at my mother knowing what she was about to say.

" Percy you know your not allowed to eavesdrop on others without permission. Also it's 11:00 so you better hurry up"chided Sally knowing full well that he will never learn.

"Prissy happy birthday i hope you don't die this  year" as Clarisse said that the doorbell rang .Sally went to get the knowing who it was by the scent of graveyard dirt and vanilla.

"Thanks war princess, but knowing my luck the gods will send me on another stupid quest ." We laughed. When two more people entered the room .

"Wow, this is a bunch of people that I never thought would be friends"stunned Nico looking around the room, while the rest just chuckled , clearing his throat blushing  not looking into my eyes while giving me  the blue stuffed wolf, Sally went back to the kitchen.

"Anyway, I , uhm , got you a present, I hope you like it"

"Aww , thanks Neeks you didn't have to"Sally called from the kitchen saving Nico from further embarresement

"Boys and girl the cake is ready, and you better hurry up if you don't want Percy to eat it all."

"Hey it's not my fault my mums baking is the best." Crossing my arms I protested "race you to the kitchen"running to the kitchen while the rest just  chuckled at my childish actions.

"So what are we doing today"after Nico leaves asked Jake wrapping his arms around Will's waist, throwing Nico completely off not knowing they are a couple.

"The usual trying not to die" i casually
Shrugged while mom hit me on the side of the head "ow ,mom you know it's true anyway "

"What plans do you have today or do I have to be your maid for the rest of the day" chuckled my mom

"Nope, Clarisse, Chris , Will and Jake will go on a double date while Neeks and I will catch up, I don't want to be the third wheel "i waved my mom off and flipping Jake and Will when they started doing kissing faces while Nico looked a little lost and I don't blame him everyone at camp thinks I have a girlfriend well she is the one to spread rumours that I like her , also no one knows Jake is gay  well not yet at least. So when Nico asked me the next question I kinda expected it.

"So why didn't you invite annabeth over she is your girlfriend after all , and invited me instead well not directly anyway"Nico glanced at Will for a moment then going back to the slice of cake on his plate. I was about to reply when I so rudely got interrupted .

"Anyway, before that topic goes any further we will go on a double date as you called it prissy."Clarisse said taking Chris's hand dragging him out of the room and motioning for the other couple as well , so they could leave us alone" Also use protection boys."  She called out while Nico was busy blushing , Percy was cussing at her existence wondering why they are friends.rolling my eyes I grabbed Nico's forearm pulling him towards my bedroom , closing the door I sat on my bed while Nico stood there awkwardly not knowing what to do.i chuckled at his expression and pulled him down next to myself.

"So to answer your question annabeth isn't my girlfriend and never was" I explained while Nico looked at me like I grew a second head"she likes to spread rumours that go to her benefit, so before you ask"i interrupted him when he was about to ask another question"I don't correct them because I don't want to have the attention of the camp asking me out and it will get ridiculously annoying so I just go with it , also I have my own crushes and when I will get a partner I will correct her in front of all the other campers."

We talked for about another  two three hours so we didn't notice when it was becoming night time that was when my mom interrupted knocking on the door.

" Sorry boys, but I think it's time for you to go Nico it's getting late."

"It's okay Miss. Jackson I get it  and anyway I promised Hazel I would come back today , by Percy see you tomorrow and thanks for having me " and just like that Nico shadow travelled back to camp . Mom turned to me with a smile.

"Be ready in ten minutes they'll be here soon" and with that  she walked back.

- time skip -

My mom is driving me and my pack to Montuak beach because there are woods nearby so its easier to not get caught while transforming, also not many people got to the beach in august because of the weather . 

"Thanks  mom for driving us see you tomorrow" as i kissed my mom the rest already went into the woods only waiting for me.

"no problem just be careful of the hunters"i just nodded and run to with  my pack going further and further into the woods.
