Phoenix could actually feel his sanity slipping from his mind.

He always knew that the people who worked in his office were all colorful characters, but during the Christmas season, this became especially apparent.

"Does someone need a hug?" He heard blaring from the office TV, and felt himself sigh. He was going to Will Ferrell in his mind for the rest of his life at this point.

"Are you guys going to change the movie yet?" He said, walking out to where Athena, Apollo, and Trucy were sitting, engrossed in the screen as if there was something that they had never seen before playing. When in reality, this was about the fourth time that they played this damn movie.

"Come on, get in the Christmas spirit! You've been hiding in the other room this whole time, don't act like we didn't notice!" Athena responded, smiling and gesturing for him to join the group.

"You've watched this movie four times already! Isn't there another Christmas movie that you could put on? Christmas isn't for 3 days, anyway." He asked, and all three of them glared at him.

"This was... the only one that we could all agree on." Apollo said.

"Yeah, because neither of THEM thought that what I was picking out was good enough, I'm surprised that they wanted to watch Elf." Athena commented, scowling.

"Hey, not our fault that you chose the worst and most boring movies." Apollo replied. "Trucy and I know what's good and what's not."

"Well if you want me to join the group, just know that we're changing the movie. I've heard this so many times today I can recite it." Phoenix told them. "I'm sure there's at least one other good one."

"Daddy, Elf is the best Christmas movie!" Trucy said. "And you haven't even WATCHED it yet, you just heard it."

"Trucy, you're supposed to be on my side. And, by the way, you always liked the Polar Express when you were little, what happened to that?"

"She grew out of it, leave her alone! Stop trying to get her on your side, just because she's your daughter." Athena rolled her eyes.

"Can you all uh... STOP? I'm trying to watch the movie!" Apollo shouted, causing all of them to jump.

"Is there a need for you to SHOUT?" Athena yelled back, not nearly as loud, but Phoenix could already feel the headache coming on.

"Oh my god." Phoenix mumbled to himself. "This isn't good."

"Daddy, are you going to join us or not?" Trucy asked, it was obvious that she was becoming very impatient with her father.

He couldn't really resist his daughter, or any of the others, really. He could put up a front all he wanted, but he was as mushy and cheesy as they came.

"Yeah, make me some room." He said, finally giving in. All three of them cheered, squeezing together so that he had a place to sit.

"Oh, and we're not changing the movie by the way. We're just restarting it because we missed a lot of it." Athena said, clicking away with the remote, so that the move began to replay.

"I'm your boss. And I say change the movie." Phoenix said, smirking.

"No. We refuse." Apollo stated simply, and all three of them laughed like it was the funniest thing that they had ever heard.

"Boss, why don't you tell us about that secret person you're seeing? We all know, you know. We heard you in here by yourself the other day, on the phone with someone telling them how you can't wait to tell everyone about you guys, and how much you looove them." Athena teased.

Phoenix felt himself flush. They had really heard that? Even Trucy? It was mortifying, to say the least. Maybe Elf was the movie he wanted to watch, after all.

"Yeah, tell us! I have to tell YOU everything." His daughter stated, glaring at him. Oh lord.

He gave Apollo a 'back me up' glare, but Apollo pretended like he didn't see it. "If it were any of us, you'd want to know, wouldn't you? Tell us!"

Well, there goes any chance at denying this.

"Uh... that wasn't what you thought." Was all that he was able to utter. His love life wasn't exactly his favorite topic to talk about, considering what a disaster it was.

"Mhm, sure. If you say so." Apollo said. He snatched the remote from Athena, turning the volume up. "Watch this! It's the best part!"

"It is!" Athena agreed excitedly.

Phoenix was glad that the topic shifted. He had dodged a bullet, that was for sure.

"Hey, don't think that we forgot!" Athena said once the volume was turned back down. "We didn't!"

She was persistent, he had to give her that. "I'm pleading the fifth." He told her.

"I object."

"Overruled."

"Who made YOU the judge in all of this?"

"I did. And I say that you've been overruled."

"You want to know what I object to? All of this talking. Are we gonna have to restart this move all over again?" Apollo interjected. "You both need to stop, the spirit in this room is dwindling."

"Absolutely not. Do NOT restart it. Listen, let's not speak of this anymore, got it? New office rule. You know I'll tell you things when the time comes. Don't worry about it." Phoenix said. "Let's just keep watching, shall we?"

Once the movie was over, Phoenix grabbed the remote before anybody could restart it.

"We're choosing something else. We're all going to find something that we agree on, whether you all like it or not."

Apollo, Athena, and Trucy all frowned. "Fineee." They all muttered in unison, sighing.

Phoenix went to the movie section and began to go through all of the selections.

"No." Was said every single time, by at least one of them.

"Why can't you all just give something a chance? We'll be here all night." He said.

"Well, I'm sorry that he has no taste."

"Oh I have no taste? Says you."

"What's wrong with that? That's better than the last one you said yes to."

"I've never seen the three of you argue so much." He finally said. Maybe they were right. They couldn't agree on anything.

"If we don't find anything within the next five minutes I'm going to choose one myself."

"OBJECTION! You can't do that!"

"Apollo, we're in the office. And I'm right next to you. There is no need to scream as if we're in the courtroom."

"I can, and I will. My chords of steel can be used anywhere!"

"He's right." Athena said. "You can't just decide that. It's unfair."

"But just a minute ago you were at his throat! Why are you agreeing with him now! THAT'S unfair!" Phoenix said.

"No, you're unfair." Apollo and Athena both said, Phoenix sighed.

"You're a bunch of children." He looked over to his daughter. "Except for you. You see, Trucy is the most mature one here." He said proudly.

"Rude." Apollo said. "She was arguing earlier too."

"Polly!" Trucy exclaimed. "Why are you betraying me like this?"

"You know what, I'm picking the movie now." Phoenix announced, clicking a random title. It began to play.

"This movie is... bad." Phoenix announced, looking over at the others. They were just as bored and over it as he was. "You guys thinking what I'm thinking?"

They all nodded.

"What should we put on? 1... 2... 3..."

"ELF!" They all called out, and that was just what they did.
