Jake
She was sleeping soundly beside me in the passenger seat. I don't actually know how, but somehow I fall more in love with this girl everyday.
Since Brynn was coming practically any day now, I decided now was a good time for Brooklyn to move in with me. She may not know it yet, but I plan on proposing sooner rather than later. Even though we started dating only a year ago, It feels like we've been together forever. Love is timeless.
I pulled into a circular driveway of a three story house: it had six bedrooms and five bathrooms. I know we don't need all this space now, but one day we will.
Shaking her gently, I woke Brooklyn up.
"Hmm?" She asked sleepily.
"You want to see it?" I gave her a smile.
Her eyes popped open, staring at the house in admiration. The gray siding that complemented nicely with the brick, giving it a nice texture. It had a beautiful grassy lawn lined with bushes and flowers. The water in the inground pool glistened in the sunlight. The view from the windows was mesmerizing.
"It's beautiful, isn't it?"
She nodded, "it is. Why did you father buy it?"
"When my father and mother got divorced, my dad felt incredibly guilty that I wouldn't have a family so he bought me a house to raise my future family. I was ten."
Her eyes widened the size of nine millimeter bullets, "he bought you a house at the age of ten? My dad runs like six conpanies and he didn't get me a car until I was sevteen, a year after I got my license."
I chuckled lightly, "aww baby, my father spoiled me really bad when I was little. If we're being honest, he still does."
"You better not buy Brynn a house when she turns ten," she warned with a playful glare.
"No promises."
She rolled her eyes.
How the hell did I get so lucky?
I stared at her midnight blue eyes lovingly, God only knows how much I love this girl.
"Let's go inside and see it," I urged while grabbing her hand and leading her inside.
The pristine white kitchen sparkled so much that one would mistake it for the Empire State Building. Above the brick fire place in the living room sat a flat screen TV. A brown couch faced the TV, dark and baby blue pillows were decorated rather beautifully on the couch. The floors were hardwood, all expect a patterned blue and white rug in front of the couch.
Wrapping around the house was fluorescent lights illuminating the scenery.
A black wooden staircase leading up to the second and third floors sat on the far wall. The master was pure white with a black and white patterned bed on the wall. A white dresser was against the far side, on it was a potted plant. There were two doors, one was the walk in closet and the other housed the bathroom. A glass shower, two sink vanity, and a Jacuzzi perched in the black and white bathroom.
Her eyes lit up like stars when she walked in the only other bedroom on the first floor: the baby's room. It was decorated in fully lavender, knowing it was Brooklyn's favorite color. Draped above the white crib was a purple canopy. A silk lavender rocking chair rested in the far corner of the room beside the crib. A white changing table and dresser was the only thing on the wall by the door apart from the closet that housed tons of baby clothes.
"Do you like it baby?" I asked cautiously seeing she hasn't spoke for quite some time.
Wrapping her arms around my waist, she buried her head in my neck, "I love it Jake; the baby nursey and the house. But why did you do it, why set up the nursey all by yourself?"
I smiled at her, "because I love you Brooklyn. You're literally my everything."
"Will Brynn like it?"
I shrugged, "I don't know. She'll be a newborn though, I honestly don't think she'll care."
As I laid there next to her, I thought about all my blessings I have. Since I met her, everything seemed to fit into place like a completed puzzle. She was my puzzle piece.
"How are we gonna take care of Brynn in college, Jake?"
I propped myself up with my elbow to look at her, "we'll firgue it out Brooklyn, we always do. I'm only going for two years so I can get a associates degree in business, until then we'll have one of our parents watch her while we're in class. Trust me, we can do this baby."
She nodded, "do you want more kids other than Brynn?"
"Of course I do," I smiled, "I want mini versions of us running around on Christmas morming. I want to be able to take them to kindergarten, and watch them graduate high school."
A grin spread across her face, "I already have names."
"What are they?" I asked with curiosity.
"I want Justice Rose for a girl and Jersey Phoenix for a boy."
I pecked her lips softly, "okay baby."
Justice and Jersey it is...
I honestly didn't care what their names were, as long as she was their mother.
*******
Mostly a detailed chapter about their new house, sorry no drama at the moment. Do you like how Jake described their house? I know I originally was gonna go for Drayton for a boy but I decided I didn't like it, so I went with Jersey. Chapter 29 will be up sometime today, I hope. Hope you enjoy your day! 😊😉💓
