When you are happy,
You leave a trail of sunshine and liberation in your wake,
That warms me down to my toes and soothes my soul when you breeze by.

When you are sad,
You leave puddles in your footsteps and a dampness in the air,
That leaves me with rain drops on my eyelashes when you drizzle by.

When you are troubled,
You leave behind charred ground and the air smells of electricity,
That leaves my hair standing on ends and my skin tingling when you storm by.

When you are frustrated,
You leave the sky clouded and the air humid and heavy,
That leaves my hair frizzy and skin uncomfortably clammy.

When you are angry,
You leave snow trailing after you and a bitter chill in the air,
That leaves my fingers frozen and snowflakes nestled in my hair when you drift by.

When you leave,
You take with you the sky and the weather,
That leaves my nerves numb and my heart still.
