Belle heard the thunderous foot falls a while before the loud knocks came to her door. Her light brown eyes shot open as Adam began yelling.
"This is the third time I've tried to wake you up! Breakfast was served and is now cold, either you get up now and eat or you don't-" Adam was cut off as the door opened to an angry beauty that was Belle.
"Was I supposed to set an alarm clock? Last night you said to 'get some rest' guess you only meant 'rest until I say stop?" Belle narrowed her eyes at him.
"It's only polite to join your host for breakfast and dinner! What? Were you raised in a different culture where eating with someone is against the rules?" Adam yelled again.
"Listen to me, ass bag, I will eat with you when you give me proper warning. That doesn't include the first night since amidst all the chaos of yesterday, you, in your hostiness, managed to expect me to do something which I was destined to fail at by your stupidity! I am going to get dressed and then I will spend some time from thirty minutes to two hours in the bathroom chanting to myself all the possible reasons not to come down to the table and punch that perfect nose of yours until you cry mercy! Do I make myself clear?" Belle challenged.
"Perfect nose of mine? May I ask how long you had to stare at my face to find my nose to be at such a great proportion to my face that you call it 'perfect?'" Adam, changed his entire attitude, leaned against the door frame.
"Don't you have a breakfast to get back to?" Belle asked, suddenly aware that all she really had on were panties and one of Adam's shirts that just barely covered her butt.
"It's so rude not to answer a direct question, Belle. You know, I think I'll have more fun sitting here watching you squirm under my shirt." Adam leaned down until he was inches away from Belles now red face.
Belle's mouth opened and closed a few times before she swiftly drew herself back into the room and slammed the door in Adam's face. Once back in what Belle considered fresh air of the room she slid down the door and hugged herself. She knew she was actually gaining feelings for Adam for a while now, but that slip of the tongue had almost done her in.
Belle wished she had the courage to say 'fuck off' to him, yet she just couldn't make her mouth form the words. Belle just wanted to forget about everything, from the break-in to Adam's perfect nose.
Belle was tempted to hand back the dress and jewlery and just go to a hotel or something, but not only were the hotels around expensive, but then.... Then she wouldn't see Adam anymore. Belle got up and dressed, she tried to reason with her mind that Adam wasn't worth the stress and surely someone would let her crash until her house was fixed.
Belle opened her door again, not paying much attention to the fact that Adam was still there.
"Oh, Belle, what else do you find 'perfect' on my face?" Adam teased,"could it be that you like my eyes too, I mean they're next to my nose."
"Huh? Eyes? Yeah sure." Belle said not moving her head to look at Adam.
"Belle, you know I'm only teasing, right?" Adam asked leaning towards her.
"Yeah teasing, haha" that was the horrible attempt at a laugh that Belle made.
"Belle, what's wrong?" He turned and made her stop.
"Okay Adam, I get it. I will file it all away in my 'not serious' cabinet," Belle paused, "see done, not that big of a deal Adam."
Adam waited, his eyes searching for something then he stood to his full height and took a step away from Belle.
"Okay, so I'll wait for you at the table?" Adam raised an eyebrow.
"Sounds fine to me." Belle smiled and took a step around Adam.

Once Belle was ready she sat herself across the table from Adam. In silence they ate warm pancakes and little home potatoes as the, what Belle assumed were servants, watched. The feeling of being watched in such a way gave Belle shivers, which only made one of the people standing by the wall drape a small shawl around her shoulders. Belle wasn't really a fan of people not only watching her eat but also giving her something that they thought she needed. She wished Adam sensed her discomfort, but with his head down in his plate she knew he wouldn't.
Belle slid her chair back and excused herself handing the shawl back to the little middle-aged woman who'd given it to her. Adam looked up then hurriedly joined Belle to the living room.
"Did you enjoy it?" Adam asked pushing hair away from his face.
"Yes the food was wonderful," Belle began, "but I felt pretty awkward with people just standing around us."
"Well, that can change Belle, I promise that can change." Adam said taking Belle's hand in his.
Belle watched as he played with her fingers, she should say something, but... no.
"Belle?" Adam didn't look up from her fingers.
"Yes?" Belle watched as Adam's hair fell over his face, she almost couldn't resist trying to touch it.
"Have you ever been to Herve L. Leroux? Adam asked.
Belle tried to place where'd she'd heard that name before she shook her head and gave up.
"Well, I think I'd like to have the honor of taking you, today if possible." Adam looked into Belle's wide wondering eyes.
"Well I don't think I've got anything pressing to do right now so, sure?" Belle shrugged.
"Good, I'll get the car around then." Adam stood and left the room.
Belle had no time to look up the place where Adam said he was taking her making her a bit uneasy about it. She asked him every question she could before he got annoyed enough to turnip the radio and pretend he couldn't hear Belle. Belle recognized the route they were taking, Paris. He was taking her to Paris again within twenty-four hours. Belle glanced over at Adam and saw how his grip on the steering wheel had tightened considerably as he took a turn.
"Adam, you don't need to to take me to Paris again. We've basically just left." Belle said trying to cheer him up a bit.
"No Belle, you don't understand. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I don't need to, I want to."
