*ding ding* I heard as I woke up. I looked over at the clock and it read "1:28AM"

Who would be texting me at this hour?

I thought to myself

I picked up my phone and I had a text from Alexis

*Olivias pov*

I woke up Thursday morning dreading the day. I don't know why, I just had a feeling that this day was going to suck.

I layed in my nice comfortable bed with my silky sheets for about 10 minutes before finally getting up and putting on my blue fluffy slippers.

I looked over at the clock and it read 12:04. Looks like I slept in. I grabbed my phone and checked it as I headed for the door. No texts, figures.

Before I even got to the door I could hear the chaos of my family downstairs.

I sighed as I opened the door and went downstairs.

Kyle, being the idiot he is, was hanging on the back of the couch upside down while burping his ABC's. And of course, shayne was no help as he sat next to him cheering him on.

My brothers were no different from any other annoying little brothers. There was shayne, the youngest of the family, who was starting kindergarten tomorrow. Then there was Kyle, the middle child, going into 4 grade. And then there was me, Olivia, 16 and going into 11th grade. I usually kept to myself and only had a few close friends, I wasn't pretty enough to have a boyfriend, and I was pretty much an over all good kid I guess.

I walked into the kitchen and said a grouchy good morning to mom and dad. I don't get how my family was so perky in the morning.

Right as I sat down my mom was putting French toast and bacon in front of my face. It smelled delicious, and I didn't hold back.

My mom coughed, hinting at the fact that I didn't say thank you.

I managed to mumble a thanks while stuffing food in my face

"What's got you down in the dumps today?" My mom asked.

Ya see, my mom was one of those moms who wanted to know everything. She wanted to know what our generation was doing, what was cool, hip. She wanted to know every little thing that went on in my life.

It. Was so. Annoying.

"Nothing" I mumbled

"I know what it is," she said "your just so overly excited about school starting, aren't you."

"Yeah, totally mom." I said in between bites

She laughed as she walked into the living room to yell at the boys. Thank god.

I finished up my French toast and put my dishes in the sink. I grabbed my phone and headed back up stairs to get ready for the day.

Once I got upstairs I started looking for something to wear. After about 10 minutes of debating with myself I finally decided to just wear my black crop top and some ripped high wasted shorts. Nothing special.

I texted my best friend, Alexis, to see what she was up to today. After about 15 minutes of waiting for her to respond I just decided to go down the street and knock on her door.

I walked downstairs and put my black vans on, and screamed "IM GOING TO ALEXIS'S ILL BE BACK LATER"

I walked into the garage and grabbed my longboard. I was pretty good at long boarding if I do say so myself.

As I rode to Alexis's I admired the beautiful day. Sun was out, not to hot, not to cold. Not a cloud In the sky. I just couldn't believe I would be cooped up in a classroom tomorrow.

When I got to Alexis's I lay my longboard along the house and walk up to the door and ring the doorbell.

Almost instantly Mrs. Harrison opened the door.

"Hi" I said with smile

"Oh hi Olivia, I think Alexis went down to James's for a little while. I'll tell er you stopped by" she replied, holding dishes in her hand.

Alexis's mom was a house mom. She didn't work, but her husband did. Her job was pretty much keeping the house from falling apart.

I said thanks and went to grab my longboard.

As I began to leave a saw moving trucks driving down the street.

I knew mr and mrs baker moved out but that was only 3 weeks ago.

I stood by for a minute or two to check out the fresh meat.

So far, I saw no kids my age. Just a middle aged couple.

Fortunately I stood by for one more second, to see the outstandingly hot guy. He looks about my age, and I sure hope he is.

I didn't want to look like a stalker so I rode back to my house.

Hopefully I find the guts to introduce myself.
